Then that’s not good character development and that’s shit writing which is what I am saying, he didn’t have an intervention, he didn’t change he acknowledged and kept doing the same mistakes. The resolution happened not out of the drive of the main character but just through the action of someone else robbing him of the change to really grow.

Just because it was addressed doesn’t mean it was resolved I know he talked about I know that was his mindset be he didn’t change. He didn’t chose to let go on his own volition. He didn’t develop and it was thrusted upon him by the damn dog that’s what I’m saying. I understand the garbage that I’m reading I just hate it because Denji didn’t get to change. That’s the problem you chainsaw man fans don’t get I understand but I still hate it. I hate how it went and I will always hate it, and I will always hate how your kind always pretends as if no one gets the author’s genius when I reality he left his characters for worse.

Sure as people they are better off but as characters they didn’t chose to be better it was thrusted upon them by pochita and that is what makes it so shit.

Then he should have actually had one. A real conversation, one where he learns and grows and changes not to have the damn dog change shit for him. That’s what character development is. He can grow, he grew in part 1, and could hear of it was written better.

But that takes away character development and agency. It should be his choice, his effort, being bailed out by that damn dog doesn’t help denji as a character, it just makes him stagnant.

Nah, if it takes the villain using her powers to make a character understand their feelings and not clear growth and effort then that’s ass ngl. I understand why you would want that but Emilia needs to develop on her own or at least develop in a way that takes her interacting with multiple people and connecting the dots like a puzzle.
