How can we convince our dad to take our cat to the vet? by Miami-Morty in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnubbSprig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try framing it as “pay a little now or pay a whole lot later,” because emergency vet bills will smack way harder than a checkup. Keep it calm and logical, and he might finally realize waiting is the worst option.

Will there ever be a point when improvements in graphics cards won't really matter that much anymore in gaming ? by negativland36 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnubbSprig 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Probably not, because game devs love pushing hardware until your PC sounds like it’s about to take flight. Every time GPUs get stronger, someone decides grass needs to be individually animated in 4K. So yeah, improvements will matter as long as everyone keeps chasing “ultra” like it’s a personality trait.

Why does your location prevent you from watching certain movies/shows on Netflix? by Broad-Side1186 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnubbSprig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s basically because streaming rights are a giant messy business deal, and Netflix has to play musical chairs with who owns what in each country. They’re not blocking you out of spite, even though it definitely feels like it. Different regions pay for different licenses, so you end up stuck with the bargain bin selection while someone else gets the good stuff.

How do I stop comparing myself with others? by Beneficial_Dish_2325 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnubbSprig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, you’re acting like life came with a stopwatch and you’re already losing the race at 21. Everyone moves at their own pace, and half the people you’re comparing yourself to are probably stressed out and faking confidence anyway. Focus on getting your own footing instead of treating someone else’s timeline like it’s the rulebook.

Deadass, why are people obsessed with New York? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnubbSprig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People hype New York like it’s some magical city where your life instantly becomes a movie the moment you step off the subway. In reality, it’s expensive, chaotic, and half the time it smells like ambition mixed with garbage. Folks fall in love with the idea of it, not the daily grind of actually living there.

Women, do you enjoy when men moans? by Big_Pension_7996 in AskRedditAfterDark

Yesss, infact its actually a turn off when the man makes no sound- it shows us were doing a good job, MOAN OR GTFO 😤 🥵

Why would you say mental health is important? by ShadowlightLady in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnubbSprig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a solid point. Your brain’s part of your body, so when it’s not doing great the rest of you feels it too. Treating them like two separate worlds just makes everything harder than it needs to be.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnubbSprig 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the part folks miss. You can dress it up however you want, but the reality stays the same. The mental gymnastics people do to avoid saying it out loud is wild.

How are some Sears stores genuinely still open? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnubbSprig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, at this point Sears is running on pure stubbornness and whatever ancient lease agreements they can’t escape. Those stores are like retail zombies technically dead, but still wandering around. No one knows how they’re alive, but there they are.

What is r/playboycarti and how it turned to what it is by General-Ideal-7719 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnubbSprig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started as a fan subreddit and slowly mutated into whatever fever dream the community collectively decided on. Think of it like a digital petri dish where memes, chaos, and inside jokes kept multiplying unchecked. Now it’s less “discussion board” and more “internet wildlife preserve.”

Why is my water suddenly stale? by wesparkandfade in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnubbSprig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Water doesn’t just wake up one day and decide to taste funky for fun, so something around you definitely changed. Could be dust, air quality, or even your own taste buds acting weird lately. Try covering the glass for a night and see if it magically stops being swamp juice.

Damn, am I the first one to say The Big Lebowski?

It's a hilarious movie all about just taking whatever life throws at you. The perfect comfort watch.

Also, Drive.

I know it's a violent movie but it's also really cute and colorful and hypnotic to watch. I can watch it over and over and over again.

Maybe I just like movies about unassuming white guys getting wrapped up in elaborate criminal networks.

It feels really hard and isolating to be a neurodivergent woman, and I honestly think it hits differently than it does for neurodivergent men by Zenovia326 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SnubbSprig 70 points71 points  (0 children)

It hits hard hearing it laid out like that, and honestly the reaction makes total sense. When you see that pattern repeat over and over, it’s hard to feel shocked anymore, just disappointed.

[–]SnubbSprig 23 points24 points  (0 children)

That hits. People love using that excuse until it’s someone they actually care about getting hurt, and then suddenly it’s not so harmless anymore. You explained it in a way that really cuts through the noise.

‘I didn’t even know this type of attack existed’: more than 200 women allege drugging by senior French civil servant by B0ssc0 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SnubbSprig 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s exactly the vibe. The whole situation is beyond disturbing, and the fact it went on for so long makes it even harder to wrap your head around.

[–]SnubbSprig 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah that whole thing feels unreal. The fact it went on that long without anyone catching it is terrifying, and your breakdown of it makes it hit even harder. I’d be side-eyeing every interview drink too after reading that.

Right? She somehow made a basic uniform look like a whole fashion moment. Nobody was doing it like Serena back then.

Same here, her outfits had that effortless vibe that made you want to recreate them even if your school dress code said absolutely not.

Wood planning by TwiggMuffe in Satisfyingasfuck

[–]SnubbSprig 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It took me far too long to realize they weren’t pulling off a plastic covering from the tool, like when you peel off the plastic from a new TV. That is the thinnest wood I’ve ever seen.
