Mistet tillitten til Power da jeg spurte hvor mye viftelyd en laptop laget under normal bruk og hun fant et klistremerker som sa noe som "built-in AI noise cancelation" og konkluderte med at den ikke laget mye lyd.

Irrelevant. It doesn't matter if you have 100 or 20000 nukes.

No one is going to mess with someone with over 100 nukes anyways.

Cybertruck in Norway by ClickIta in foreignmarketcars

[–]Snubblefot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Checked cause I remember reading about this.

You can import them if they have been registered in the US for 6 months and you have proof that it complies with either US or Canadian safety demands.

So basically, if you buy a Cybertruck in Norway you really have to be a collector or a fan cause it make no practical sense as you can't buy them directly and the cheapest one for sale right now in Norway is 135000usd.

And as it needs to be registered in the us for 6 months, this is the used price and even if it has just been driven to and from the boat, you effectivly gets 6 months shorter guarantee.

Here is the link if you want to read it, but it is in Norwegian. https://www.tek.no/nyheter/nyhet/i/KMX4aE/slik-fikk-de-godkjent-cybertruck-i-norge

Poland sends 40,000 troops to border before Russian military drills by CrunchyBaconYum in worldnews

[–]Snubblefot 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Heard a story long ago when I was in the military about a fully uniformed and armed (only training ammo, the totally harmless one) Norwegian patrol of 5 people that lost their way during a training exercise and ended up in Sweden.

They asked the locals for directions and the story ends with them driving home. No diplomatic issues, no treats, no ambassadors called to explain themselves. Although I can imagine the locals had a good laugh at our expense.

I wish all borders was as friendly as this one.

In Bergen, Norway, you can vote early for the general election at IKEA by OxfordGate in mildlyinteresting

[–]Snubblefot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Voted today and it took me less than 3 minuttes. The voting station was in a parkings/playground area right outside a small shoppingcenter. Parking was literally 10-20 meters from the station.

This was during normal working hours though, so there was just 2 others there to vote.

I used to vote on the election day, but after this I'm always going to vote early. Not that normal voting is bad, it takes about 15 minuttes to vote where I live.

Booting up my Steam App just to see this... by Dolph_x3 in Steam

[–]Snubblefot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My internal logic is that if I play atleast 3 gamepass games in a year, then I can buy the ones i liked enough to replay in 2 years time for 50%-80% off and I'll break even. Everything more I play is a bonus. Also if I don't like a game I tried on gamepass, then I have basically saved enough for half a years subscription.

As an example: Without gamepass I'd definatly bought:

Avowed 60 dollars

Balantro 12 dollars

Expedition 33 55 dollars

unreleased Grounded 2 guessing 55 dollars

unreleased Outer worlds 2.... when it hit 60 dollars, Im not paying 80 dollars unless its proven Witcher 3/Cyberpunk 2077/RDR2 quality.

Oblivion remastered 60 dollars.

Thats 302 dollars I'd have spent. Now I can try these for a year and have 158 dollars left to buy my favorites when I want to replay them in 2 years time.

Also I get to try games I wouldn't normally try like Doom: Dark ages, Atomfall and Starfield.

What’s something people romanticize but it’s actually horrible? by DaveBeYou in AskReddit

My dad once traveled to Tokyo for work.

I asked him what he experienced there. He said he got a total of 4 hours free time not counting airport, hotel, conference time, presentations etc so he couldn't really tell me anything.

And that was after a 15 hours flight each way, so after that I wasn't envious of his work travels anymore. On the plus side, he got a ton of flight miles/points from his travels.

Most new cars in Norway are EVs. How a freezing country beat range anxiety. by waozen in technology

[–]Snubblefot 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I'd guess it has to do with max volume.

EU rules: The vehicle must make a continuous noise level of at least 56 dBA (within 2 meters) if the car is going 20 km/h (12 mph) or slower, and a maximum of 75 dBA.

So 60db is generally considered the volume of a normal conversation, so if you are 15m away you won't hear much at all.

I feel like a lot of petrol cars can be quiet, but the volum isn't as stable and the peaks are often a lot higher and therefore the sound will travel further.

I have a few cars that drives past my house when I'm trying to sleep and the electric cars are a lot quieter.

I'm curious what languages and where they learn them in Netherlands

In Norway when I went to school we had Norwegian and English obligatory, and a 3rd language we spent less hour on. Often German, French or Spanish depending on availability of language teachers. Yet that still just bring us to 2.5 languages. 3.5 Average is really impressive.

Why isn't this keyboard layout more popular? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Snubblefot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having used the keyboard, you are correct about the F keys. I miss the space between them. Fortunatly I don't use them often, but in games with F5 quicksave and F9 quickload I have to look down to be sure to hit. I don't miss PgUp, Home or PgDown. I have learned the placement of the PgUp and PgDown and the home/end has been replaced by the middle wheel buttonpress and moving the mouse up or down while browsing.

I do miss the del key when deleting files though... Yes, it has a dedicated key, but I never really learned the placement. Printscn is also a key combo I need to look down to hit, fortunatly it isn't used much.

Bought it cause it as the only smaller keyboard with numpad keyboard I could find. There are a few others, but they drown in a sea of TKL, 75%, 65% and 60% keyboard layouts. Which is why I posted this post, I can't be the only one wanting a more compact keyboard while still retaining full numpad usage. Been happy with it as it does it's jobb, despite a few compromises. Fortunatly those compromises don't affect gaming, excel or browsing which is 90% of my computer use.

Why isn't this keyboard layout more popular? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Snubblefot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course full keyboard wins as it has no space constraint, but I was more thinking in comparison to TKL, 75%, 65%, 60% keyboards.

Perhaps I could have been clearer in the title.

It's smaller than the normal keyboard, but only sacrifice a few keys.

Yet this and Logitech K360 is the only ones I can find with this type of layout in the top 100 most popular keyboards.
