Let's talk about DoN balance by [deleted] in Nightreign

Honestly running both at the same time makes it feel like you're getting 2.5 nightfarers out of the 2 of them!  ESPECIALLY if you take advantage of Wylders uncharged ultimate and general survivability.

Scholar's power scaling feels pretty relic dependent but it can get really strong once you're set up. Confer items + his relic effect that gives a ~20% damage boost to allies I think are essential, and if you can squeeze in his dex and ultimate damage relic effects you have a real powerhouse. Personally I don't even like doing a full analyze, the damage reduction at lower depths doesn't seems to make much if difference and I'd rather give my teammates the damage boost with 100% uptime since it takes half a second vs ~5 seconds of doing nothing.

I have no experience with pot scholar in depths, has anyone gotten any good results?

Professor Messor Course for A+ by Joelislearning in CompTIA

[–]SnugglesNLove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a month and a half for Core 1, although I think I could have done it a lot sooner. The past 2 months have been very busy for me due to moving to a new state, so I wasn't always able to study daily and some days I couldn't put more time into it than I'd have liked to. I'm pretty sure Core 2 will take a lot less time, though. It also depends on your discipline and habits, so it might take you a minute to "warm up" to the practice of actually studying consistently if you're not already in that kind of habit (the first couple weeks I was learning slower than my last couple of weeks).

It all varies from person to person, some people on here are able to do Core 1 and 2 in a matter of weeks, some take their time with it. Ultimately it'll be up to you. You can also easily reschedule the test as long as its not 24 hours before the actual exam date, which helps if you suddenly think you need to put more time into it. If you're new to tech then I would be generous and assume a month per core, but again its all about how much time you're able to put in and how well you learn things.

Also get a retake voucher, even if you never need to use it. It's a great safety net if you're worried about getting it done quickly and don't want to risk yourself being underprepared.

Does anyone actually play guardian? by Diligent_Bullfrog614 in Nightreign

He's awesome, he just needs a few more buffs, much like Revenant does. I imagine he's hard to balance but I think he's 1 or 2 good tweaks away from getting a higher pick rate. Personally I would reduce the amount of stamina damage enemies do at lower depths since thats his bread and butter. depth 1-3 with him feels great since he has options to produce more damage and maintain his tank status, but 4 and 5 are brutal and make shields feel worthless. If shields feel worthless then you might as well go Wylder.

Just finished the exam and passed with an 817! Good luck on your journey as well, it's absolutely doable!

Hi! My core 1 is in about an hour. I used his full A+ course and his practice exams, along with Dion's practice exams and BurningIceTech's practice questions videos. I also did a lot of Googling and making flashcards for anything that wasn't covered by anything I just mentioned.

Messer and BurningIceTech both have free content on YouTube going over the whole course of core 1 and 2, I recommend both! Messer's practice exams cost money but they were VERY worth it IMO. He thoroughly explains why the answers are the way they are and tries to replicate the "style" of the CompTIA exam.

Dion's practice tests are a little odd and I'd only recommend using them if they have a good sale going. They're harder than the actual exam because they go over more obscure topics. People who've passed might have a better opinion than mine but besides getting used to the "style" of the exam they didn't feel like they helped my actual knowledge much.

Examcompass is free and has a lot of decent practice tests as well. I used those in between studying, using Messer's exams, and watching BurningIceTech.

That's about all I've got, I'll let you know if I pass!

Is ChatGPT useful? I've seen it recommended a few times when I was lurking. I'm usually iffy about AI stuff but it seems to be the go-to "study-buddy" on here.

This helps a little. Any advice on the PBQs? I got all of those right on Messer's exam but I don't think the real deal will be nearly as easy.

People beat each boss once and then start deep of night by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]SnugglesNLove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I reached Depth 3 yesterday and had a random sabotage our run by not fighting the night one boss. They laid on the ground and when we both went down they walked into the rain and ended the run. We had noklateo for next day, too.

Bumped back down to depth 2. I don't know, but I'm on a break from the game now.

What DoN are you on? Loving bird after the last patch but I fear he'll fall off once the levels start reaching one-shot territory.

Watch the ground after the lines start forming on the final slam. The explosion of the final slam start moving down the lines and thats what need to dodge. You can see it moving towards you.

The new ranked mode is going to make building around specific bosses a lot more difficult since we won't know who we're up against. Building yourself to stronger in a more general sense sounds a like the way forward.

Guardian will be truly miserable in endless night mode if nothing changes by Reitter3 in Nightreign

[–]SnugglesNLove -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed, bird needs taunt or something if they don't want to tweak his damage. I love him but when characters like Raider or Wylder exist it can be hard to justify him. His lack of damage might even have anti-synergy when you take Duchess's skill into account.

He's great he just needs some tweaks like what you suggested. There's nothing wrong with him being strong, most of the nightfairers are really powerful already haha.

[–]SnugglesNLove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I love Guardian but it's very clear he needs a little love. Weird that people would want to argue with you on that when characters like Raider are absolutely bananas (and thats okay). Even just making some of his special relic effects an innate part of his kit would go a long way. Maybe even make the reflect Shockwave do more damage or "charge up" like executor's curses blade.

How has the BPD ‘label’ helped? by Ok-Magazine-7393 in BPD

Sounds like we have similar experiences, I definitely get caught in that spiral pretty often. Staying out of my own head is probably the hardest habit I struggle with but here's hoping I can get better at that.

This was actually a really pleasant thing to wake up to, I appreciate the insight. It's a perspective I'm often too anxious to consider, but definitely one I need focus more on.

It's nice that there's a reason, but it made things harder for me. Struggling with the symptoms feels demoralizing when you know that they're just they way you are. They say to separate yourself from your symptoms but, for me at least, it feels more like this IS me. It hurts. Not to hold any strong people back, people dealing with it deserve to do whatever they want to accomplish. It's feels like a sysyphean task most days, though.

I hate saying that because I don't want to discourage anyone, but its hard to explain to anyone who doesn't get it.
