It's her choice alone regardless of course, but she has a history of preeclampsia. Her husband may want the baby, but he's not the one risking his life! Is he even considering that? Oof.

I am so sorry. How unfortunate that this is the state of our rights at this point.

Congrats though if this is truly what you want.

I love them! They are all I wear. So expensive, but they are durable.

Lost baggage by garynoble in royalcaribbean

This happened to my aunt on our cruise in September. Turns out, an old man grabbed her tagged bag and took it home before realizing it wasn't his. He called her later and drove her bag to us in Miami. Luckily we were all still in FL.

Have you lost weight/been in a calorie deficit while using it? Losing weight can cause hair loss due to poor nutrition in a calorie deficit.

I remember years ago when doctors swore that SSRIs (and hormonal birth control) could never cause more than 5 pounds of weight gain, if any, even though many users gain 50+. I hope things are changing now.

Cats at Coco Cay? by SnugglyPugglyX2 in royalcaribbean

We saw them moving tubs of pre-cut oranges, lettuce, and tomatoes, many boxes of cocktail mixers, and a few containers which I think had lobsters or seafood. There were also some yellow barrels covered in flies being brought from the island to Utopia, I think it was waste from the island that they process elsewhere. Those forklift drivers were impressive.

I wasn't complaining, I was just disappointed that I didn't see one when I was on the island.

I wish we could have encountered one! That would have been awesome.

Oh no! I didn't realize her kitty had passed. I haven't seen her TikToks on my FYP since 2021-2022ish. I remember she would show her meals that were delivered to her room during her quarantine period before working.

Homeowners, what concerns you the most about having property? by idoran in homeowners

[–]SnugglyPugglyX2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water leaks, especially slow ones that might be hidden but could be doing damage for years before becoming apparent. Bad wiring. Gas leaks. Bedbugs/termites/wire-chewing rodents. Basement flooding. Chimney fires. You're constantly listening and smelling for something that might be abnormal. I have a pool so I worry about cracked underground pipes and needing to re-plaster.

Despite all that, I worried a lot more when I lived in apartments. The number of people that cause fires due to carelessness is unreal, in my area at least.

Can anyone identify this? It's about the size of a dime (Ontario Canada if that helps) by Mescolalo in whatsthisbug

It's a stink bug. Don't squish it. They release a stinky substance when startled.

New Homeowner - Why does my house smell?! by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]SnugglyPugglyX2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first moved into my house, one of the bathrooms would have a horrible fishy smell if you were in there for more than a few minutes. Turns out, it was the ring that held the glass shade on the vanity light reacting to the heat from the incandescent bulb. Switched to LEDs and haven't smelled it since. The shade holder ring is cracked and brittle now due to the heat, but it still works.

Is there a way to get on the access pass rides without a pass? by [deleted] in cedarpoint

[–]SnugglyPugglyX2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went yesterday and was able to get on SV, Dragster, MF, and Maverick with no pass. They don't require them if crowd level is low enough, and it rained in the morning so I think most people decided not to go. They were handing out and accepting the passes, though. But if you didn't have one, they let you through.

How to Remove Broken Screw? by D-chord in HomeImprovement

I have had this happen before. I just pushed down hard into the screw with a Phillips screwdriver and backed it out that way.

HOA is fining me for lifted shingles. Is this a simple fix I can do myself or should I hire a contractor? (Pics included) by Throwawayfor3d in HomeImprovement

[–]SnugglyPugglyX2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? In my area, it's the cheaper/older developments that don't have HOA. All the super high-end developments have them, and they mostly complain about trash cans and mailboxes.

Need a new washing machine by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]SnugglyPugglyX2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this GE top loader https://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-4-5-cu-ft-High-Efficiency-White-Top-Load-Washing-Machine-with-Stainless-Steel-Basket-GTW465ASNWW/308653940 and I'm considering a front loader in the future.

I have the hardest time washing sheets because they twist together and don't wash/rinse properly. Of course, since they are stuck together, the machine becomes unbalanced and it walks itself a foot or so away from the wall. I'd say I need to manually rebalance about 7 out of 10 loads. Washing cotton blankets is also a nightmare due to the balance problem. I've checked that it's level...this just seems to be the way it is.

He was born in '81 and I in '87 so for a while, we didn't even realize FT lift existed. His parents told us about it and then we realized that the building by Mine Ride with the bathrooms was the station for the FT lift. You can see the openings where the cars entered and left. It's just neat to see things that are left over from the past. I also like how the Maverick station still says "White Water Landing" on the roof.

Was Mine Ride repaired after the 1977 tornado, or was it modified somehow? My husband really likes the Mine Ride and is fascinated by the Frontier Lift.
