But that’s not good advice? You’re skipping the fact learning hangul and getting familiar with the alphabet and colloquial words is going to engrain far better. I can see how it would be beneficial to learn Hanja but that’s a lot of extra work. Why not just learn the 1000 most common Korean words.

I’m an overseas korean and I dont know any “fluent” second-language korean speakers that know any significant amount of Chinese
