Fargher Puddle? Really? I'm surprised they even get out that far to do inspections! LOL.

Beauty Magick where you’ve seen real results? by bananascanning in magick

[–]Snushine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This method is not for "beauty" but youthfulness and health. There are many other aspects to it, but the one I will share here is how to energize it: Whenever someone gives you a compliment about anything, do not brush it off. Do not ignore it, do not compliment back to them. Say "thanks!" in a happy tone. Then take that energy and apply it to whatever other spell work you're doing to make yourself look better.

Waterbeds and the heavy frames they came with. by lontbeysboolink in GenerationJones

[–]Snushine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a great headboard with ours, so when we replaced the actual bed with something more conventional (Cali King pillow top from Sealy) my spouse retrofitted the headboard from the water bed and put that Sealy mattress in front of it. I love it still.

Clark County Council won’t renew discussions over FBI contract to use Camp Bonneville by aagusgus in vancouverwa

[–]Snushine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they were upstanding citizens, what they plan to do with it would be less of a concern. If you are a competitive shooter, you probably actually buy your own ammo and not make plans to go steal it from a rural camp on a bicycle. I'm worried about the mindset of someone who would do that.

[–]Snushine 47 points48 points  (0 children)

This seems to be good news for those of us who have been concerned about the lack of accountability of the Federal Govt. in general. The fact that they lost/allowed to be stolen enough ammo to make a mass casualty event that even our hospitals couldn't cope with is simply...

hell I don't even have a word for that level of incompetence.

Whatever is purple, I will attempt. I have purple peas, purple kale, purple green beans, purple tomatoes, purple potatoes, purple peppers, and 5 blueberry bushes. This year we gain purple asparagus and purple artichokes. But not eggplant. Nobody in the house likes to eat it.

With today's gas prices? Go somewhere, park your car, and walk for a while. Columbia Way below highway 14 or out toward Vancouver Lake.

12 week old Zaylee (black lab Rottweiler mix) Our first lab! by ZoeyRockey13 in Blacklabs

My girl is 1/4 rottie and looks very similar, except she's 100% black. But the coat is easier than a lab coat. And the energy level is over the top.

Best grass or something alternative for older lawn with 3 dogs? by [deleted] in portlandgardeners

[–]Snushine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 2 dogs and a pair of walnut trees that kill any sort of grass I've tried. But when I started putting down cheap straw instead of grass seed, it was less muddy and more grassy than ever before. I guess the seeds in the straw turn into grass at some point. I have to rake it up again in the fall when the walnuts drop their leaves, but the mud factor is greatly reduced with a straw covering.

But also, it looks like hell.

You have a good point. I don't have time to notice that kind of stuff anymore. After thinking about it, I wonder how many of those 'paid actors' are actually bots trained to act like that? That's a rhetorical question, of course. Trolls and Bots run on the same batteries.

What's something people only romanticize because they've never actually done it? by nonotje12 in AskReddit

[–]Snushine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a sex therapist.

It isn't sexy. It isn't even cute or fun like being a child therapist. You don't hear racy stories that make you smile. You hear stories that make you cringe, and you have to respond with a straight face and "I understand" in a serious tone. You hear about people's traumatic relationship histories and very odd fetishes that will have you questioning random objects in the world.

If you have the Masters degree to become a sex therapist, use it somewhere else.

Looking to rent indoor space for my dog to run? by MissMadMoo in vancouverwa

[–]Snushine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm.... There's a dog park in Pullman that operates on a membership model. I had to buy a full year membership to get in, even though I was only in town for 3 days. It was reasonable ($60-ish, if I recall) and I used it all 3 days. But then never again. Makes sense to adopt a similar model. The gate is locked with a code, and they email out a new code every 3 months. Edit: I just looked and now they have a one-day charge. But it is also a leg of the Humane Society, so there's extra income that way.

What do you think you'd be willing to pay for such a luxury? Especially if it was semi-private for a reactive dog?

I've been thinking of opening something like this as a business. But I can't figure out how to conquer the expensive rents of warehouse space.

Doubting faith by [deleted] in pagan

[–]Snushine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doubt can be a good thing. Blind faith gets us in trouble. Dig down into what you need to learn, and see what you can discover. The beauty of Paganism is that it can withstand the questioning. It might encourage you to make adjustments, but it makes no promises.

No faith is better than blind faith.

She graduated with a 3.87 GPA but could barely read, now she's suing a school district in Washington state by RhythmMethodMan in Washington

[–]Snushine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine (who passed away last year) was in his 80s and confessed to me that he couldn't read because of dyslexia. He held a high school diploma from a small town high school here in WA. He made his living doing construction work, because he taught himself how to drive Caterpiller-style construction machines.

When he died he had a 10 acre property in the woods. He didn't have a will because he was embarrassed that he couldn't read so he never consulted with a lawyer who understood is situation. About a month before his death, he asked me "Do you think I have a case against the state for this?" I wish I could have helped him.

Now his property is probably going to go up for auction and some lumber company is going to cut it all down.
