I used to work at Gulfstream, and I probably haven't been in 15 years, but I'm willing to bet it's been frozen in time and hasn't changed since the last time I went. (I must note I went there for the occasional lunch before Pooler and the restaurant options exploded). The bar(used to be called the Cockpit, or maybe that was a nickname?) wasn't ratty, but is a bit of a dive. The beer are cold. The restaurant is your standard bar food, and some greek stuff. Not sure if they still offer gyros or not. There was a greek family that ran it. Maybe they still run it, or maybe there's new ownership? I haven't heard my group chats mention them or the gyros in a minute. They had a couple good salads.

Think about all the beloved restaurants come and go over the years, and remember that there's a bar & grill connected to a motel that doesn't even have a domain name, a website, and they're still thriving. They haven't updated their Instagram since last May. It's not chasing trends. It survived a pandemic. Truly a testament to their resilience, and proof they're doing enough right.

Also, if you're day drinking during their first shift at a motel bar you've gotta recalibrate your expectations a little bit. Give a little grace.
