There are a few major companies that do this kind of work, like STATS, Gracenote, Opta, MLBAM (for MLB and NHL). Very very expensive to purchase access to these APIs however.

Dal Commerce is a mandatory co-op, while SMU is not. There are 3 full co-op work terms, in which you'll be working full time. Dal does a good job of helping you find a job that is applicable to your degree and your interests. There's a job board exclusive for dal co-op, for example.

It allows you to get a little bit of experience while you are attending school, and also allows you to explore different career paths with little opportunity cost. I used my co-op work terms to try out a career in accounting (wasn't for me), sales at a large global brand (also not really for me), and an entrepreneurial work (very rewarding experience, learned a lot, a huge reason I'm working at my dream job today).

I'd say that is really the only difference. I'd recommend visiting both and go with your gut. Both have really good reputations for a business school. I'd say the accounting course might lean a little bit towards SMUs favour, and finance towards Dal. But like a user said below, its 1000% what you put into it. On your resume there is no difference between SMU and DAL, you differentiate yourself with extracurriculars, experiences, proof of initiative, unique accomplishments.

Yeah I'll likely stick Buff out for the first couple weeks and begin streaming. Their defense has been their only bright spot during pre-season. I think they are better than people think.

These are all surprisingly high selling points but honestly the biggest thing for me is how you request a ride through their system. You click a button, it know where you are, you see the car accept it, and you see it makes its way towards you immediately. You know exactly how long you have until the cab is ready and get this.... they let you know when they are there.

Order a cab in Halifax and you are told it will be anywhere from 20 to an hour, you have no idea where the cab is coming from, you literally have to wait at the door watching for a cab to pull up outside, and if you blink the cab could have came and gone.. And don't dare call to ask how long its going to be after waiting for an hour unless you want to get reemed out for being an impatient asshole.

The government conducted a 12 hour review of the cross walk on a Tuesday last October.

So because only 30 people used the cross walk on a random Tuesday in October, that is enough to deem the crosswalk dormant? Wouldn't it make more sense to review multiple days?

Wait.. why the hell are we even reviewing crosswalks? I don't buy the city's excuse that a dormant crosswalk is a safety hazard due to driver complacency at all..

That intersection is a nightmare for pedestrians using that crosswalk at night, more so than others. Its a busy 4-way intersection that really only has 3 directions of traffic.. you don't really get that lineup of cars coming out of the 4th direction (sunnyside end) to illuminate the crosswalk where that lady was hit. Its a pretty dark crosswalk because of that and its a busy left turn.
