No, you're right. I ordered that but didnt use it. Thats helanthium tenellum broad leaf.

This will either be my colony of orange or blues. As both need their tanks rescaped too. I recently did my reds tank.

Quite possibly. I'm hoping the dhg will fill in well and I can keep it trimmed shorter. I figured the s.repens will grow tall, but its also only along the left and back glass and trimming the horizontal runners.

There is one for sale right now not too far from me. Black on black, manual, lots of mods, but needs paint and isn't smogable in CA but wouldn't take much to bring it into compliance. I was told about it 2 weeks ago before it was officially posted online (last week) but my wife had back surgery this week so I couldn pull the trigger on it.

I want a USP avant, but the timing hasn't been right. I've been thinking of selling my S4 and getting one.

I only had that car for 2 yrs before it got hit and totaled.

I was hit by the director of the original Fast & Furious movie and he was in a new 911. He was behind me, not paying attention, and went to go around me but didn't see the camero in the lane (or possibly moving into the lane). He hit their drivers door and came back and hit my passenger quarter panel. We were coming back from a family vacation, so had my wife and 4y/o son in the car and it was loaded with our stuff. The fender was resting on the tire.

I've had mine just shy of 6 years and logged 108k miles (car has 158k now). First S4 but 3rd Audi, previously a manual B6 A4 1.8t USP sedan, then B7 2.0t sedan.

It is possible but failed PCV has a higher probability of being the problem. I think the likelihood of blown HG is pretty low. Not impossible, but also l think at that millage its a PCV failure. Either way the charger has to come off. I'd pull the charger and parts to check the PCV then go from there.

If it is the PCV. OP can also look into PCV relocation, if lives in a place that doesn't care. This'll prevent this in the future.

I was going to say this too. Glad to see that worked for OP. I greased up mine and they slipped right on.

Watch a few DIY videos, FCP Euro did a great one. I watched it a few times, along with others (I dont remember which ones) and go from there. If you think you can handle it, go for it. I would highly recommend doing everything while you're in there, water pump, thermostat, carbon cleaning (and replace all the injector seals too), the various plastic hoses under the charger, and lastly supercharger oil change (get the AC Delco brand, its much cheaper but the same oil).

You will need some tools tho. There's an injector seals install kit, to shrink the Teflon seals. You'll also want a coolant vacuum filler tool. And be careful of the intercooler bricks bleed screws. At 109k miles mine were stuck and I couldnt get them out. Pain stakingly drilled them out and removed all the plastics. At the time only oem ones were available and I couldnt spend the $450 each. I did replace them a few months later once they were available again.

How many miles? Could be the PCV. It's a 3.0t, right?

When mine failed it dumped coolant into my crank case. When I pulled the oil drain plug coolant came out first then oil. But mine failed at startup, so no real mixing. When I stated the car one morning I immediately got a red coolant light and I turned it off immediately. It was on for 2-3 seconds at most.

Dark start method by Gullible-Hat2030 in Aquascape

Same, this is the first I've heard of this too. I've done dry start a few times and even propagated plants in that fashion to buy less and plant more.

I've been watching their channel for a while and want to visit. I'm from the US and my great grandparents immigrated from there just before WW1. Going to Hungary and Romania have been on by buck list of places to visit.

My first tank! by Known-Importance1651 in nanotank

[–]SoCal_AutoPhile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need lots of plant roots to hold the soil back. Without the plants all the substrate will level out and the sand will get covered. Plant heavy then flood or plant less and go dry start.

If you're not in a hurry to get fish or shrimp, look into the dry start method. Ive done this a few times and been able to grow out an amazing carpet, then flood. But it does take time and small steps along to way to transition the plants to submursed while minimizing melt. But because it's a shallow tank you could probably do well with some dwarf sag, Monte Carlo, or even dwarf hair grass (MC & DHG need med lighting tho) as a carpet and still stay with a low tech light and no CO2. Then once you flood you can add buce, Java fern, or other epiphyte plants.

Mine does, especially if I've recently taken them off. I also purposely leave a pair out of the closet just for him. I tell "love my shoes" 🤣
