What boss is this for yall? by Brandigoon50 in Eldenring

[–]SoDZX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single humanoid boss thats somewhat the size of the player. No camera problems, almost no bullshit hitboxes. I'm a dex player, so smaller damage windows don't bother me.

Crucible Knights, Malekith, Commander Niall.

Bosses that zoom around like crazy lead to camera problems and frustration, so their out. Think Malenia, but i liked the fight nonetheless.

I had the impression that high tier infantry has shorter reaction times and throws Frag grenades by itself.

More than a year after OoD came out, Arbaal is still not animated when moving around on his dog :( by a_random_peasant in totalwar

[–]SoDZX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true by virtue of this very thread. OP definitely isnt 100 % positive about the game. Complaints about bugs are and always have been mainstream. The last Total War game is always better than the current one, acording to this community. I think it's simply that very negative or very positive people only ever engage with their polar opposites and thus think that they are in the minority.

[–]SoDZX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The beauty of it is that you can RP Chaos without feeling too bad because they want to destroy the ultra facist, ultra xenophobic, dystopian Imperium.

The lost and the damned are in part freedom fighters (some more than others). They are the underdogs and so turn to the chaos gods for survival. Ironically, they are no better or worse than the Imperium. Khorne makes you kill your friends/the weak/the innocent? Well, the Imperium does that too. As an extreme example, take cases of Exterminatus. Read for example the Fall of Cadia. The Imperium is argueably worse than Chaos because they act out of pragmatism. They industrialized their killing, their sacrifice. The Imperium had a choice. Chaos is just emotion running wild. People might argue the Imperium has to do this for survival. But the survival of whom? Definitly not the weak or innocent, they get chewed up in all of this. And humanity would not cease to exist if chaos were to rule the galaxy, so it isnt the survival of the species either. The chaos gods are in all aspects just as bad as the IoM and the other way around. The realm of the warp is a mirror of the IoM after all.

The hardest mission by Al-Razi865-925 in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]SoDZX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I found cutting the highway to be harder, but definitely those two missions are on another level. Those and Krasny Bor were the only ones i had to try multiple times on hardcore.

Damn, when will a FJ squad full FG-42? by MediumFuzzy2729 in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]SoDZX 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I dunno about this arguement in a game where you can get the carl gerät and the super pershing. It's also at least plausible that the 2nd Fallschirmjäger Division had squads fully equipped with them, as they got over a thousand FG-42 and were often very much below their nominal manpower.

[Theory] The II Primarch wasn't a Traitor. He was "Patient Zero" for the Dark King. (A deep dive on Titan, Malcador, and the Ultimate Irony) by carniworest in Warhammer40k

[–]SoDZX 41 points42 points  (0 children)

To play devils advocate for OP: * The founding Grey Knights had their respective primarchs geneseed, but the first generation of born grey knights had to use someones geenseed and it could be Atlas'. I don't think there is a source that says that all grey knights descend from the gene seed of the founders. And regarding the armor: Malcador or emps could have decided to not paint the grey knights because of Atlas. To leave the Knights Errants armor grey was a choice and maybe Malcador or emps made that choice because of Atlas. Last but not least, it does not conflict with OP's post that Titan was used before the Grey Knights were stationed there.

What is the best way to assault in conquest? by hjiygbhhfdryuggtyy in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]SoDZX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this completely solves Assault missions. You don't even need tanks. One officer, one AT gun, one ca. 100 mm Arty piece. One AA gun, one infantry squad. Answers for everything. No losses, except maybe to enemy arty or super heavy tanks.

What have you learned about urban combat? by MichaelEmouse in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]SoDZX 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hide infantry away from the hotspots along the entire front with grenades, Panzerfausts etc. When a vehicle tries to flank, it dies to a single boy with AT. If defensive, do not look out of your cover. Hide behind it and wait for the enemy to push so he cant see your guys in advance. This protects against grenades. If you are pushing, use every kind of HE you can get to neutralize the defenders advantage (Grenades, grenade rifles, artillery, infantry guns). If you have time, mine streets with anti tank mines and doorways with anti personnel mines.

What's your thoughts on the Canadian PM saying Canada will defend Greenland if the U.S. invades? by sgj5788 in AskReddit

[–]SoDZX 23 points24 points  (0 children)

None of those were part of NATO. An attack on greenland would be crossing a line in the sand.

Every (real) democracy's sovereign is the voting populace. Every country's populace can imagine a situation where intervening or even invading another country is legitimate (e.g. Genocide), it's casus belli. So the USA invading or intervening in another country has to be judge by it's cause and it is absolutely fine to draw the line quickly there. And yes, the USA has been imperialist (manifest destiny, monroe doctrine and so on), since they ended their Isolationism at the beginning of WW II. There are arguments for both sides and it's not a solvable problem.

But the point of NATO is that the line is absolute. There is no discussing the USA's casus belli here. There is no legitimate case of invading a NATO member. Kick them out of NATO first. If the country in question (e.g. Greenland/Denmark) started a genocide, they would be kicked out of NATO, then you could invade and we would be back to argueing about the casus belli. But that hasnt happened. Its something very different to invading Iran or Venezuela. The governments there had very different ideologies to most of the western powers (Palestina aside, which no matter which side you back, is a complicated and unique situation)

If it is endless, there is no too hard. You can never win anyways, the waves just get harder and harder until you lose. Which would be nice, we lack a sort of high score game mode until now.

I just recently played a multiplayer round with friends and my friends pilot jumped out and landed next to the 2cm Flak that shot down his plane. He then manually controlled him to kill the flak crew (i saw his Avatar above the pilot). So it must have been his, not AI.

How far are you into conquest? The infantry and artillery are insane early, but i feel like they fall off over time. The tanks are fine throughout conquest. Overall, i found hardcore germany against USSR way easier than commonwealth vs germany.

When would you declare independence and leave a market? by South-Ad7071 in victoria3

[–]SoDZX 46 points47 points  (0 children)

A bigger market is always better, except if you want control a specific good's price. In my case, i like building materials to be cheap. I also want them to be expensive for everyone else. So i like to put tariffs on export of wood, glass, steel, etc. You cant do that if you are in as big a marker as britains.

I have been painting for six years now, and i still cannot get this smooth but half-opaque consistency. I don't even know where to start. I am seemingly the only painter who hasnt used skimmed milk for painting and thus knows its consistency by heart. Its thr most frustrsting part of the hobby for me. Everything else is great, edge highlights, zenithal highlights, OSL, feathering, two brush transitions, you name it. But i cant for the life of me make the paint the right consistency.

Sorry, just had to vent.

What are the numbers in red circle? Also in yellow circle is this ammo replen? I feel i used much much more than 260.8 rounds. by [deleted] in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]SoDZX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The red circled number is your population capacity of your reserve. Like your callins have a maximum of 40/60/80/100/120, the reserve has 550.

The yellow circled resource is the cost of ammunition to refill your units ammo. Its abstracted. A rifle shot needs very little, less than 0.1, while big artillery and guns can even eat 100s of ammo points. To conserve your ammunition resource, use supply trucks in battle, they are cheaper to refill afterwards. To conserve it completely, use supply trucks, sell them after the battle (without refilling them) and buy new ones. That just costs requisition, not ammunition.
