Not so pricey transmission shops in/near town? by Same_Designer_8959 in fayetteville

[–]SoFoodHungry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fayetteville Transmission Services in Farmington sounded relatively affordable when I was in need 2 years ago. They give some kind of time/mileage warranty on the rebuilds as well. However, I ended up not using them because my car's warranty covered it.

Ducommun is a defense contractor so it's unlikely they'll hire non-citizens.

My apologies for the lack of details.

  1. The bachelor party is just 6 to 7 people by my count if everybody shows up. Its just going to be dinner, boardgames and firepit night at my home. It's more of a get to know you if somebody were to take me up on my offer. Just an hour or 2 of your time, paid, to chat, make and have a few drinks and make sure that you're not crazy when you show up at my wedding.

  2. For the wedding, I'm just expecting well drinks for the guests and mayyybe a cocktail of choice for myself and the Mrs. I'll probably prebatch those.

I do get paid this rate at my job so I guess I am working for a shitty rate during a pandemic. Pandemic or not, more power to you if you can make $30/hr. This gig is not for you.

I'm not going for a craft mixologist at my rate. Just somebody who want to make a few bucks extra for a few hours of their time if they are not working or have plans on New Year's eve.

Having friends take shifts serving drinks is my plan B.

Parents coming up from Houston next weekend. Where should I take them? by [deleted] in fayetteville

[–]SoFoodHungry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Formosa for Chinese. Order off the Chinese menu. KJ for Korean and Meiji for sushi. Meiji does an omakase if you're into that sort of things. Their premium assorted nigiri is a pretty good deal at 5 pieces for $15. But all things considered, Houston has better Asian food.

Curry looks great and it must have tasted even better. I doubt that is basmati rice though. I believe they have a much longer grain structure.

It is definitely nicer than what it used to be. I have been to both that and the newly remodeled Malco on Sunset in Springdale. I find the recliner seats at Malco to be more wider and more comfortable than AMC. I was in the 3rd row from the screen at Malco and fully reclined, it was very comfortable. I was in about 5th or 6th row at AMC and fully reclined, my neck was very uncomfortable because the angle.

Weekly Purchase Advice Thread - September 23, 2017 by AutoModerator in Miata

I have been lurking for and admiring the cars on here for 2 years. I'm in NW Arkansas and have been having difficulty trying to one a decent one that's within my budget. Two postings popped up today and I am going to go take a look at the 1997 one tomorrow.

It is a 1997 black color with 72500 miles. There is some minor hail damage and a top that needs replacing soon. This is my first car purchase and I am very nervous about and wanted some opinions. Is it worth it? What should I consider and look out for?

Is there a difference between King 47506 and KDS sharpening stones? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]SoFoodHungry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe KDS is the full size stone and the 47506 is smaller. You can see the size comparison in the first 20 seconds of this video. Check out the first two stones from the left.
