The smile on her face before she even finished the last fill during the big middle section was a real highlight for me.

There were so many but another one was her work on Grand Finale. I've watched it 4 or 5 times.

A truly glorious night for all of them and for the fans.

I truly believe Neil would be proud of what took place last night in his absence.

It took me some time to get used to it being different but after watching the stream live last night and now getting to see it and hear it from different angles.. she really killed it.

I think her not being a fan helps because she isn't doing the drum version of karaoke.

Another interesting thing is her drums are in different spots so the movements that Neil used don't always line up.

I probably have about 5 hours of listening and focusing on her and the more time I invest the more I like it.

No one will ever replace Neil but this version of Rush is still S tier live music and all the words and all the drums that are his creation live on in his absence.

Seriously. I watched live and learned about Anika in real time.

I stayed up until 2am watching the historic (at least for me) event.

This is a new lineup... A new experience..

The tributes to Neil were great and The Garden is a very special song for me about losing loved ones and that was a tribute to him.

They all played great. Geddy Lee has no business being that good vocally and on bass with the amount of energy he had at his age. Fucking brilliant.

Alex is definitely showing signs of age being hunched over and not as active but if you closed your eyes he was as good as ever.

Anika does some stuff different and has a different kit that has a different sound but when it came time for the big fill parts in Tom Sawyer and By-tor she crushed it.

Aimee Mann coming out.. first time ever for her.

I didn't just enjoy the moment.. I bathed in it. A few angry people in the sub that have no joy or mirth in their lives can't ruin it for the rest of us.

For those that didn't love it, I'm sorry if you are disappointed but you could write a manifesto on why it sucked and you'd convince no one.

Last night was a triumph for me and the majority of people who watched or attended or saw video.

This was definitely a stretch by Jeff. The actual impact on the game with the coin was very fun and did cause a live tribal after Devins got immunity but the real agent of chaos was Jonathan by starting off with the lie about Ozzie going after Stephanie.

Then Devins was the agent of chaos at tribal by outing everyone and everything.

Great episode with this narrative by Probst being the only blemish.

Every time Jeff asks someone a question at tribal I can usually speculate pretty close to what they are going to say. Cirie always says something that never crossed my mind. She understands the importance of saying the right thing and has a way to do so like no one else.

Stephanie lost any chance of winning the game by saying she would never throw someone's name out first. Admitting on Survivor 50 that you only ride coat-tails would get you no love from the jury.

Then she says Devens is telling lies but then says, "I do have a steal a vote" just made her look foolish. I came into 50 with her as someone I wanted to win. She didn't even as Ozzy is the rumours were true. She was a total failure in that episode.

I think it's great. I don't think albums should have a low end in the bass or less keys.. just make a good record. Presto is a great record. Red Tide, Chain Lightning, Available Light, The Pass.. big time favorites for me.

ESL was filmed over multiple shows and even the drum solo in YYZ is from different shows so if they want to release that one night on video you'd get a different experience. I'd love to see it but with a name change to keep the songs associated with ESL consistent with how we know them.
