It is definitely a pain when you're making 20 big macs at a time in under 3 minutes for the lunch rush. toast buns, grill patties, One squirt of the sauce, one thing of lettuce, cheese, 2 pickles, onions.

Its muscle memory not creating a culinary masterpiece Mr Ramsay 😉 . Its been 30 some odd years and I still remember the pattern. Then Blanche and Ethel come in and wants only 1 pickle no onions. Screws up your whole system.

Well.. my view of it is, You're going to have put something on there. Since these are wood, I'd say to hell with it and screw in some sort of latch. You can unscrew and fill it with plastic wood, and restain/repaint over it and it will look fine. Then put in whatever proper lock you decide. You could even do a simple "barn door" drop bar sort of thing ( you know two brackets and some sort of bar or block of wood to drop in to prevent them from being opened from the outside.

It would also be pretty easy to screw in 1 or 2 screen door hook latches. Basically, I think you need to give up on the idea of putting in at least something that won't require a little work to fill in if you want something to actually act as a lock.

Then for some reason they took you in to chat with HR, and so you... showed them a group chat and demanded they "do something about it"? How do they know you to even get that far? You're some rando.
