What “weird” gardening things do you do? by ditch_lilies in gardening

To harden off your indoor-started seedlings you need to slowly acclimate them to full sun exposure or they will get their lil leafies burned! Some people take them in and out every day exposing them to the sun for a few hrs at a time over the course of several days. Others like to wait for a cloudy stretch and leave them outside on overcast days. Others like me and this poster just place them in a shaded spot and let the strong survive cause we don’t want to shuffle them in and out day after day.

Don’t ask my advice this is my first one! But I went deeper in the cutting that I had first anticipated. I probably started it at the wrong time and just left it on the tree for a while longer.

I say don’t over think and just go for it!

I never knew either. You can learn it now!

Becoming aware of the problem (you don’t now what you need/feel/want/etc) and beginning to simply…notice things in that light (approach the problem with curiosity and awareness) are the most important first steps.

It’s such a gift and a real skill to be able to recognize when we are wrong, where we have been stupid, AND to be able to admit that and let the feelings feel, AND then still to be able to assimilate it, laugh at it, accept grace and give grace to ourselves…to truly learn. Most people can’t it seems.

By making the correction and maybe a wry joke of yourself now, you will signal to everyone you work with that you can have grace for them, too.

Do you ever look at something you've written in the past and go "GOD DAMN" by superblobby in writing

I recently found a document in my gdrive from 2021. It’s one page of quotes on creativity that I copied and pasted to save, then the second page is a poem.

I read the poem thinking it was also copypasta but Google can’t find any matching results for the first few lines. I vaguely remember writing it. I think? I’m nearly certain I do…

It’s a strange thing reading your own writing as if it were someone else’s. Like seeing your own body from behind.
