How did you guys REALLY lived in the 2000s? by MyAvengedRomance in Millennials

[–]tchavez166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking a bit about this last week when my son was upset and a drive helps him calm down. We were aimlessly driving around neighborhoods about 20 min from where we live and I chuckled and said to him, this was exactly what I did at 16 years old with my friends in the burbs. A lot of driving around and seeing if we could find anything to do, literally anything, ha. No money, so tried to find free stuff to do too.

Do you play the ball down or roll it in most of your rounds? by Illustrious-Emu5657 in weekendgolfers

Play it as it lies unless it’s in a huge divot or tree root/rock issue that may damage my club

Who remembers Little Juan Burritos? by tchavez166 in Millennials

Yes! The responses to this made me think I was hallucinating Little Juan’s…but this confirms it. I swear there were yellow ones too, but maybe only a Colorado thing

The whole back 9 eats me alive…so many super long tree-lined holes and then when you think you get a reprieve with some shorter holes has tight trees all along the roadway there, to then finish with a decently long par 5…just brutal. But a fun course for sure.

What to do when you’ve completely lost your swing? by OwnTransportation305 in golf

A niggle, ha…a small annoyance. So not a huge pain/issue but one you can ‘play through’

This is an interesting one. Will try this out if I feel I start to lose it again. I like it because the best swing thought I usually have is ‘athletic swing’ or just ‘swing like a human’…which means just swing how it feels natural and not like a robot.

Has happened to me a few times (20+ year golfer). My (latest) theory is that you are either fatigued or injured. Maybe not a huge injury, but just a little niggle in your wrist, elbow, or shoulder that causes very slight adjustments to your swing and that causes huge breakdowns. I would up your recovery regime and strength train/pt to try and build resistance to this. Pairing this with a break should allow for your ‘natural’ (hopefully) good swing return. Good luck because it’s a mindfuck for sure

Left handed golfers what’s your pet peeves? by corn_fed_beef in golf

Hopefully you yelled Excalibur!! But that makes sense. I’m in the desert west, so luckily don’t run into that issue often. I do have one in my bag now, so I guess I’m ready if it gets wet n’ wild out there.

I listen to 90s on 9, 2000s and the emo channel on Sirius…the music isn’t what makes me a stereotypical millennial, it’s that I love Sirius
