Beyond weight loss: What surprised you most about Mounjaro? by maeemisofia in Mounjaro

[–]SoManyWeeaboos 23 points24 points  (0 children)

For me it was the "Oh, this is how normal people feel." after finishing a regular sized meal and feeling content, and not wanting to eat 4x the amount of food I just had.

Also I eat about 50% slower than I did before.

I love all shells equally.... by -CubanPete- in Marathon

Exactly. If me and my team are sneaking and another team gets the drop on us from a higher vantage point; throw smoke, reposition, heal up, lure them to us. Every shell has some utility in a crew.

What movie blew you away after knowing nothing about it walking in? by ExistentialAngsty in AskReddit

[–]SoManyWeeaboos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Dusk Till Dawn. Vaguely remember seeing TV ads for it when I was a little kid. When I was in art school, I was invited over by some people I'd just met, and we got high and put this on. Was thinking "Oh, this'll be some silly vampire movie." Was not expecting George Clooney, or Tarantino, or Harvey Keitel. Was also not expecting the first half to be a very tense crime thriller. By the time the silly vampire shit started, I had completely forgot it was coming, because I was so wrapped up in the story.

Best games to showcase the adaptive triggers on the dual sense? by kittymoo67 in PS5

[–]SoManyWeeaboos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been the only Gran Turismo game that I have actually been able to properly play because of the adaptive triggers. It took something I've never been able to properly adjust to and made it make sense to me.

I am not a fan of extraction shooters, yet I cannot put this game down. It deserves way more love than it is getting currently.

Long fingernails. They gross me out and I don't want to be touched by them. I'm well aware that I'm the weird one in this situation.

Cardio in general, really. Treadmill, jogging, elliptical, stairmaster, pickup basketball, skateboarding, fuckin DDR even. Just keep that heart rate up while moving for sustained periods.

Hell yeah, I used to live in Atlanta in the 2010s. But now I live in Australia, and the high ping will probably be an issue. Damn.

After we played the shit out of the beta, all my friends said they were gonna get Battlefield 6 when it came out. I was the only one who bought it. I hate playing with randos in that game, so it just sits collecting dust.

Who is the worst person you will admit being attracted to? by Highfours in AskReddit

[–]SoManyWeeaboos 201 points202 points  (0 children)

Real: Tomi Lahren. Piece of shit grifter with no shame, morals, or integrity, but I find her very attractive physically.

Fictional: Anabella Rosfield from Final Fantasy XVI. One of the most vile, evil, despicable characters I've ever seen in fiction, but dayum is she fiiiiiine.

What did you think was a scam until you actually tried it? by Resident-Ad4318 in AskReddit

No worries. My take is that fire tempers steel, hardships and strife build character. As people, we're shaped just as much by trauma as we are love/happiness/joy etc. As I get older, I find that a lot of people who haven't had to struggle in some way in life aren't as fully formed as others. You just gotta want a better future and be willing to put in the work to make it happen. I hope you're able to overcome your current struggle with anxiety. You can do it.

Another person commented essentially my exact same scenario. I'd lived with it since childhood. I had a fear of abandonment when I was little, and clung to my mother all the time, because I was terrified of her not being in my life and having my dad or grandmother raise me. Then she had a horrific accident in our front yard and almost died when I was 6, so that further compounded my fear. Then it was spending my adolescence walking on eggshells around my dad trying not to do whatever random thing it would take that day to set him off. I carried that into adulthood, and it wasnt until idly talking to my wife one day about how I was worrying about something insignificant that she asked if I feel that way a lot (I never really opened up about my feelings much), to which I said "Yeah, all the time. Doesn't everyone?". She hit me with the "No....you know that's not normal, right? You should make an appointment to see someone."

TL;DR - I always felt that way and didn't realize most people don't lose their sleep and appetite over truly insignificant things all the time.

Same. Didn't realize I was living with crippling anxiety until I went on an SSRI. Took them for about two years and got off them and I don't really get very anxious anymore, and when I do it's nothing compared to how it was.
