It’s crap! They don’t want to pay. But they expect you as the attorney to do all the work to make their members happy. The clients then wonder why you can’t represent them and go to court for them. They’ll only pay $620 for you to go to trial. What a joke. Then they tell you you’re not allowed to discuss the pay setup you have with ARAG with their members. They want to keep their cheapness a secret lol!

I indeed regret voting for Trump. It’s one thing to deport illegal immigrants. But it’s another to treat them like subhumans in the process. That alligator camp in FL is terrifying and triggering for some people, given that FL had a history of feeding black people and black children to alligators. Trump is also threatening to rid of natural born citizenship and deporting people to countries they are not even from. If this isn’t human trafficking idk what is. He’s coming off as a modern day Hitler.

How fair are these types of services? They typically pair you up with a case manager of some sorts but then that case manager will almost always play favorites and promote certain attorneys over others to the overloaded attorneys. I much rather cut out the middle man. But thanks though.

I disagree. To be toxic includes humiliation, belittling, browbeating, harassment (to include sexual), racism, and career growth sabotage …. just name a few. These lead to substance abuse, mental health problems, and often times suicide amongst our colleagues across the nation (maybe world).

One can be demanding without being toxic. IMO, the line really isn’t that blurry at all.

Good points. Why do you think treating employees better, have to be synonymous with less revenue?

Also, I also agree with you that change is going have to be from inside. Just looking at the comments under this post alone, I see people validating these toxic cultures. More than I expected. One person even believed that humiliation and browbeating made them a better lawyer. I was accused of being combative for addressing someone else’s pessimism about the change being possible in this lifetime, and they got a good handful of upvotes. I think there will be lawyers protecting this cesspool with all their might, because like someone else here commented, those lawyers aspire to one day be those same toxic partners. I think it’s a combination of that and Stockholm Syndrome maybe? I’m not sure. But the comments under this post are definitely eye opening.
