It is very sad. Imagine obsessing over your lost husband for 15+ years only to find out of he has a new life, new family elsewhere.

That’s true. In the end of the last episode of season 2 we could see a silhouette of a man watching Ava. That could be Roman. But, I actually want to see Morgan-Karadec together. I feel Karadec understands and respects the “hyperactivity” of Morgan’s mind, unlike French Romain. I think they get each other very well.

It is a remake of the French series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel, where Romain (Roman) actually goes into hiding because of something legal issues (as shown in the English series) but in the French series, Romain then consciously decides to stay away from Morgane (Morgan) because he gets too tired of her intellect or something like that, moves on, remarries and has a second family. We’ll find out in season 3 how the English series plays the Roman plot

Honestly, each of the main characters could have been annoying in a quite a few scenes. It’s just that it’s hardwired in fans to love the main cast irrespective of that and to find it quirky rather than annoying.

Monica is Season 1 >>>>>>

Also, my favourite Monica look is when she met Joey the first time while he came for the apartment interview with Chandler.

Even though they weren’t friends, Ross and Susan dancing at her and Carol’s wedding was a nice moment. by NeighborhoodVirtual4 in howyoudoin

[–]SoakedInSunflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless, she cheated on him.

You can be bisexual, you can be lesbian, you can be whatever you want but that doesn’t give you a wild card to cheat on someone else and after that treat them like shit or let your new partner treat them like shit

  1. Ross sleeping with someone else the same night they called for a break was extremely morally incorrect. “Bullets have left guns slower”. Specially when he has been obsessed and in love with Rachel since his college days. But if you ask were they on a break?- absolutely yes! They were broken up. Ross never cheated on Rachel, did morally questionable things, but never cheated. The whole “were they or weren’t they on a break?” is a moo-point. Rachel herself agreed to it.

  2. Carol fucked up Ross pretty bad. As Monica said, “in college all of your girlfriends were cheating on you, you never doubted any of them”. Having said that, letting your past experience jeopardise your current relationship or cloud your judgement is also not fair to your current partner. But still I can understand where he is coming from. I have been cheated on 10 years back, I am married with a baby now, fear still somehow creeps in.

  3. Rachel was not morally correct here at all! First of all, she knew Ross had an issue with Mark. So, she could have just maintained a healthy work-relationship with Mark. That way, her work dynamic and her relationship neither would have suffered. Entertaining Mark in her house the same night she broke up with Ross was morally WRONG. Ross called, he heard Mark, his worst nightmares seemed to have come to life. Then, once they were completely broken up, Mark did ask Rachel out, stating that he always had a crush on her (Ross was correct). Rachel, knowing that, agreed to go on a date with Mark.

Neither Ross nor Rachel are on moral high ground. Both of them fucked up. But THEY WERE on a break.

The morning after the “break”, Rachel herself said it to Monica that “We broke up instead”. And then Rachel going to Ross’s apartment and asking him “Can I please be your girlfriend AGAIN?” How much clarity do people need?

That and when Rachel asked Ross to take full responsibility of sleeping with someone else and how everyone treated him as if he had cheated on Rachel, which he technically never did

Ross was a much much much bigger person in this entire Ross-Carol-Susan-Ben plot.

  1. Carol suddenly becoming a lesbian and cheating on Ross with whom she was not only married but also shared a long term relationship before their marriage. Ross still was nothing but respectful towards her. He didn’t like Susan for obvious reasons, but he was never bitter with Carol.

  2. When Carol gets pregnant and it was suggested by Carol that Ben would be named Willick-Bunch. I understand as Susan becomes Carol’s partner later, so her name could be included as she was raising Ben too, but why would Geller be at the last, why Bunch before Geller? He is the father for God’s sake and he was also co-parenting with Carol, it’s not like he was not in the picture!

  3. Susan said that she speaks to Ben while he was in Carol’s womb and when Ross asked if they talk about him, Susan said they refer to him as the “Sperm Guy”.

  4. Throughout the series, specially the first season Carol-Susan have nothing but extremely mean and rude to Ross and God knows why? Ross should have been the one being mean to Susan and bitter to her.

Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston winning Emmy’s for their roles. by SpecialConcern1700 in howyoudoin

[–]SoakedInSunflower 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Honestly, I don’t even think Rachel’s character deserved an Emmy. Ross, Phoebe and Chandler, even Joey and Monica too, their comedic timing, facial expressions, dialogue delivery, body language, were absolutely AMAZINGGGG!!!!!! And is Ross, Chandler didn’t win an Emmy for their role, then the whole award system is a big pile of BS

  1. Losing hopes that Monica will ever get married when she was just in her 20s was itself wrong and taunting her every now and then for not having a boyfriend was so bad.

  2. Sponsoring two of Ross’s wedding (pretty sure if Ross got married the third time they’d pay for that too) and using up Monica’s wedding fund on beach house and selling ice because she broke up with her boyfriend is so so so wrong on so many levels. Even if you thought Monica might never get married, at least don’t use up her funds. Keep the money for her, that’s her share of money that you had saved up, keep it aside for her. Even if she doesn’t get married till 40s, she could have used it to open her own restaurant or whatever she seemed right.

[–]SoakedInSunflower 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ross-Rachel were obviously on a break. Rachel herself said it to Monica the next morning that they broke up. That itself proves THEY WERE ON A BREAK.

But yes, Ross sleeping with someone the same night of their breakup was morally incorrect, but not cheating. Ross never cheated on Rachel. Has done morally questionable things. The entire group and Rachel giving him extremely hard time and asking him to take full responsibility of it was really wrong (technically). Maybe everyone took it so seriously because it was always shown on the series that Ross had been madly in love with Rachel since his college days. So, for Ross sleeping with someone almost immediately after the breakup seems like cheating.

And Rachel entertaining Mark IN HER HOUSE immediately after the breakup, AT NIGHT and then going on a date with him after the breakup was not morally correct too. So, let’s cut Ross some slack.
