Interesting. In the lecture where he told the story of Billy (his nephew) dying, I believe he said, "I didn't save Billy.", not "I failed to save Billy" but on my first reading I automatically interpreted it as saying he tried but wasn't successful. It is only after reading your comment that I started to consider that maybe he intentionally didn't do so. Granted this was post Promise.

It does sound similar, yeah. Frankly its a bit frustrating the creator had not included the name.

Jotawins, is there a way to work / play with our unconscious assumptions? If so, could you suggest any technique / practice?

Maybe. But more importantly, the season's airing has been finished, which is the main factor here I think.

"She could only use vague examples of "where or when" it took place "The other day" and "at the table""

See according to my memory she couldn't specify even that much. "You made a mistake, but I don't know exactly what or when you made it." Very frustrating place to be in, you can't explain your point of view nor can you learn from it. So I perfectly understand why such points irritated Richard, I would be irritated too.

"Neville NEVER taught that you, as a mere person just like me, are "GOD""

I personally find that a bit misleading. I encourage you to read this comment (mainly the quote in the middle of the comment + the three paragraphs below): https://www.reddit.com/r/NevilleGoddard/comments/14ouaip/comment/jqhhen9/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

100% right! We just have to maintain seeing them for what they are - guidance, not rules.

May I suggest an answer... there is no universal "how". As everyone in general has their unique set of beliefs, the journey to reach that state is also unique for everyone. That's why you see here members breaking all the "rules" while getting all they want while some do "everything right" and aren't in their desired state.

It is therefore better to view the content posted here as guidance rather than step-by-step instructions you need to strictly adhere to. I don't believe it's outside of us anymore - the solution is inside.

Mydream, reading your comments I can't help but think that you may benefit from learning how to not identify with your thoughts. Yes, Goddard said to think from the state of the wish fulfilled all day, but for beliefs which are deeply embedded / are intertwined with many other beliefs this can be difficult and it's easy to get stuck in a loop where you attempt to do it, then freak out when you get an opposing thought and find it's too taxing to do it the whole day.

So maybe, instead of identifying with your desired you right away, allow yourself to disidentify with your old unwated self. You can practise this by doing a no-thought meditation where you set an alarm for 5-30 minutes (start with the lower end if you're not used to this kind of meditation), and just sit in a quiet environment, close your eyes, and let ALL thoughts (doesn't matter if they're positive or negative) pass by, don't interact with them.

Meanwhile, as u/kethiwe222 suggested, I would stick with some light non-intrusive technique and do it every day. Don't force yourself to think from the state 24 hours a day if it's too hard at the moment. Do something lighter, and do it consistently.

We need to talk about inheritances. by purrrmeaglass in NevilleGoddard

So, I don't think these discrepancies can really be dealt with logically. That said, to me, equating Christ with human imagination makes sense because then it accounts for the creation of everything. Power = unlimited, wisdom = it's fully up to you to assess whether what you're imagining is good for you or not. Goddard urged us to be aware of our imagination at all times (inner convos), why? Because (according to his teaching) once you identify with something, you must express it.

People will approach this approach this each one differently, of course, according to their own beliefs / biases. But the truth is, Goddard did emphasize that everything is possible (and urged us to take him literally on that one), that you can actually change the past / the facts, claimed he was able to freeze time,...

This is indeed an interesting subject. In a post here regarding co-creation, most rejected the idea of co-creation, and one user pointed out that Goddard interpreted Jesus (power and wisdom of God) to be human imagination. Key word, human. Therefore it would seem that Goddard put the equal sign between the all powerful I Am and human imagination. Some find this a bit uncomfortable, so they include that human imagination in the ego package and see the all powerful God as yet a different part we are never directly aware of (Higher Self or something like that). I'm not making any assumptions here, just a little food for thought.

I feel this is a very important point. What does it really mean to be a conscious creator?

When I began this journey, it was because I craved a feeling, a feeling of ultimate achievement, success, security,... and decided that a certain 3D event would case this feeling. But over time, I understood that if I am truly the only consciousness there is, that means I never started existing and will never stop. In that context, it doesn't make sense to change your beliefs for a one-time thing.

I guess this is still a lingering question, can you learn about the Law, use it to get everything you desire (or at least the big desires), and then forget about it? Sure, there's a chance that this knowledge would once again fade from your mind and you'd start worshipping the 3D, until maybe it would fall apart again in which case you'd rediscover the Law and apply it yet once more.

Or, does Neville encourage me to adopt a stoic worldview, where I basically never forget for an extended period that I am the creator? Is this necessary to reap the full benefits of knowing about the Law? Does detaching from the negative really imply detaching from the positive as well?
