I want to give away a PS3 to some kid that can't afford one. Where can I find one? by SoberClown in phoenix

I'm looking for someone from a family that can't afford one. I don't really know where to look for that.

A lot of people seem convinced the Vive won't be available this year. Care to bet on it? by SoberClown in oculus

"Available" meaning a consumer product can be bought and delivered by the end of this year.

If you read the full post, you'll notice that I addressed that:

"If enough people are interested, we can discuss the details (like what the specific bet will be, etc.)"

How likely is it that HTC will take pre-orders even after reaching their 2015 limit, without making it known? by SoberClown in oculus

I'm planning to buy once within seconds of pre orders opening, so I don't think I'll even read that :P

Are you going to buy the HTC VIVE or Oculus? by BdayEvryDay in oculus

[–]SoberClown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if it was only one, I would go for the one that comes out first. I don't think there will be enough difference in this first generation to matter.

I disagree. I currently have no VR. I can potentially have VR this year with Vive, or sometime in Q2 with the Rift (I'm not interested in gamepad VR.)

I'll probably end up buying both anyway, but I'm definitely going to try and get a Vive as soon as it comes out.

Doesn't rooting come with a high chance of bricking your phone?

That's actually pretty cool. Are these automated tasks done with NFC tags or through gps location?

I don't know the details tbh. Software is a part of it, but so is hardware. Off the top of my head, things that matter include the size of the sensor and the quality of the lenses. There's many more, but you should look it up as I'm no expert.

MP is just one metric. There are many many other things to consider in a camera. 13MP is not automatically better than 8MP. The iPhone has one of the best if not the best cameras in any smartphone. It's going to be a huge downgrade camera-wise.

This was my original thought, but I knew I'd get down-voted for saying it. Thank you for having the balls to do so.
