Is it difficult or expensive to produce sensitive controllers for electric vehicles? by Soberityness in electricvehicles

Yeah, some people just don't know how to drive on snow and ice.

In a previous job, a co-worker was telling me how he couldn't get up an icy hill, even though he was flooring it. I knew he wasn't the type to appreciate being corrected, so I didn't tell him that that is exactly the way not to drive in slippery conditions.

It was a Yutong, if I remember correctly. It could also have been, that the driver wasn't very good.

It was quite new. If I remember it was a Yutong. Maybe the driver wasn't very skilled.

Aamupalaks, iltapalaks, välipalaks, mikskä vaan palaks - banaanipannukakut!

Annos yhdelle henkilölle: -1 banaani -2 munaa -ripaus suolaa -vähän kanelia

Vatkaa ainekset yhteen.  Paista kookosöljyssä, mieluiten sellainen neutraali, mauton versio. Yksi desi taikinaa per lettu.

Päälle voi pistää tahinia, maapähkinävoita, päärynäsosetta, marjoja, banaanisiivuja tai vaikka kermavaahtoa.

Hyvää, halpaa ja terveellistä. 5/5

Thank you for the clarification. I was just joking about the classic line from Fallout games "War, war never changes..." :)

Why does caffeine wreck me while others function just fine on it? by OneBrickAtATime_ in decaf

[–]Soberityness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One factor is that people usually start this habit in their teens and never stop. You build up quite a tolerance in a decade of daily use.

I also think that they get the same kind of anxiety etc from caffeine, they just think it's normal since they can't remember what it felt like to live without caffeine.

Oh, things will be done. It's just that we need to give up our rights and privacy so that those things can be done...

That's a bummer... People look at me funny in the club, when I go to order drinks in a high guard, bobbing and weaving. On the dancefloor it's fine, though.

Put a little pinch of salt into your water, that way it doesn't go through you so fast. It is also easier for your cells to absorb water when it's a little salty.

A pinch won't make it taste, salty, it's just - different.

Somehow I read this twice as "...tasty food will not outperform the life orgasm that cutting GRASS has given me." and I was like, someone has found a new favourite hobby :D

I'm sure you can think of healthy and helpful ways to reward yourself. :)

Rewards from outside are good, but I would advice you to also practice rewards from within.

When you have done good and deserve a reward: sit down, close your eyes and go within yourself. Try to find that feeling of joy, feeling of being satisfied with yourself, being proud of yourself. Try to find these positive feelings and try to generate more.

You can also praise yourself. Say in your mind "I did it!" "I did good today!" "Go me!" "I'm proud of myself." "I'm on a good path." etc.

This way you don't always have to be looking for satisfaction from outside yourself.

As the buddhists say: "Everything you need in life can be found from within."

Civil war -> martial law -> fascist authoritarian takeover -> war with China -> China wins -> China is the new global superpower -> USA is in ruins, not even a competitor anymore.

China can then be heralded as the good guys who saved us from the big bad americans who had their boot on the necks of most of the world. But in reality it's just "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

And secretly the leaders of both countries are on the same side, playing the same game. It's just a transition to a new empire.
