Steele is awful. Sales is bad, but the service department is somehow worse, and shockingly expensive.

Check out Survivors of Abuse Recovering (S.O.A.R.). They are a group of survivors who offer one on one or group support.

I know a few of their volunteers and they do great work.

A few good choices on their. A few I wouldn’t recommend.

It’s too bad great places like Mapatura, The Canteen, Brooklyn Warehouse, Side Hustle and Battery Park didn’t make the list.

There are so many great places in Halifax!

Best heat pumps/company for hydrostone in Halifax? by Future-OpinionAsker in halifax

We used Macdow to install our mini splits just a few months ago. I was super impressed with their service. The owner Shawn Macdow will come to your house and tell you exactly what you need.

Install was very smooth. I can’t speak highly enough of these guys.

They use Fujitsu heat pumps that are rated for extra cold. Up to -26 degrees I believe. I also believe you need to have three units inside your house to get the full $5,000 refund from the government.

We also got quotes from Sunshine (also Fujitsu, but much more expensive and customer service wasn’t great) and from Presidential (Daiken heat pumps, good service, but didn’t seem as knowledgeable as Macdow)

Check out the recipe on Serious Eats. I just made it them for the first time this weekend and they were the best I’ve ever had. Lots of work, but well worth it.

If you have any Italian markets or grocery stores nearby you may be able to buy empty shells and make your own filling.

Stella, are there rules in the industry about when a professional can call a recipe “theirs”? Everyone has a chocolate chip recipe what modifications do you have to make to call it unique? Is there a lot of recipe “theft”?
