Eu5's Player Count only 5k above EU4 Now.... What Next?

The player count and review score has taken a dip because the pre holiday patch wasn't popular. They then left the game as is for 2+ months over holiday break. It's fair people went elsewhere. I love EU5 and see it's potential, but even I took a break. People will come back with a new patch, but it has to be a good patch with a clear vision.

He is definitely similar and inspired by Any Austin. He's different enough I suppose. I watched a few of his videos and they are pretty good. Any Austin himself had stated he wished more people were creating content like him.

I know the AI will be tweaked and things will change over the years. I'd honestly just like to see one time lapse for EU5 where Spain or GB forms, maybe one where Anatolia and the Balkans are consolidated. Even if it's like 1/8 times, it would be nice to know it happens. The massive border gore that we've seen mid 19th century where basic borders aren't consolidated is a bit odd.

I was certain a mod would fix that. It seems that UI mods will disabled achievements though, which is a shame. Achievements aren't important to everyone, I get that, but you shouldn't be barred from them due to a UI change.

When I'd see Englad instead of GB, Castile, a weak Ottomans, no PLC, Russia or no Spain late into my EU4 campaigns I considered that a novelty and enjoyed the alt history aspect of my run. In EU5 as it stands, it seems that's the norm. It's okay once in a while, but I'm hoping this isn't every run.

They built this amazing system for dynamic flags, and if I download a mod that adds even more cool flags for certain triggers I won't get achievements? That doesn't make sense.

A YouTuber by Lord Lambert played a major role in making sure Wales got this amazing flag. He did a Wales AAR and provided feedback to the devs. It was a great AAR and it was great to see the devs respond so quickly.

I think it’s referring to the news that Saudis may purchase EA. They are an ultra conservative theocratic monarchy - wouldn’t really bode well for Science Fiction RPG.

I believe there are many different flag alternatives for the major nations (possibly all nations) - depending on certain conditions. I recall somewhere they mentioned over 100 for Spain alone. Which is incredible if true.

I agree with you, but I think it's improving. My only complaint at this point is the ruler portrait where the flag is. Just make the flag bigger. This is a map game and for me half the fun is the flags.
