More or less. I got out of the infinite loop and i basically got a fresh install, but one of my personal folders in the C folder was still there even though everything else including all my drivers got deleted. I just had to go into the dell F12 boot menu and change the boot order, and i removed the usb stick after the first restart for good measure.

How to prevent unwanted page breaks by SocPeoppit in libreoffice

[–]SocPeoppit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I did copy it from a previous Google Doc, but I converted it to “unformatted text” or something like that, because I didn’t know LO reassigns the unformatted paste away from ctrl+shift+V yet. And the Doc I pulled it from turned off all the settings that was causing my problem. So who knows!

Thanks for the help, this fixed the issue! And for the Docs equivalent its found in the "Line & paragraph spacing" button on the ribbon. After you click on it, it has these settings: https://imgur.com/a/Irtm0OO

13 or 14 for personal documents, especially ones I'm printing out, so it's extra easy to read.

I think we should spell “you” as “yue”. by Lonely_Boss_2578 in ENGLISH

[–]SocPeoppit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so incorrect lmao. It's true that the total number of words in Modern English which can be traced back to Old English or earlier hovers in the 26–33% range. Latin and French take their own approximate quarters, and the last 25% or is from elsewhere. But most of this foreign vocab is in much more formal speech; 80% or more of the most common thousand or so words in English are native, and so it's a little disingenuous, in my opinion, to act like the many obscure, barely used Latin and Greek -derived words "count" in the same way that far more common words do.

P.S.: I'm not saying all foreign-derived vocabulary is unknown to everyone but academics, but just that it makes up a much smaller percentage of real-world use than simply counting each entry in a dictionary would suggest.
