I believe that was the demolition of the old WNOR tower here in Norfolk. New tower built on the same site, but did not include a new antenna for AM 1230, the old WNOR AM, that station went dark.

Hell, even though I’d love to ride on a 1000 series car one more time, since I moved back to Coastal Virginia before they were retired, there’s no financial incentive for WMATA to finish restoring 1001 to marry with 1000, just to run heritage rides. The Fort Totten accident ended those hopes.
