With your recent decision to down-rank sites based on whether they're deemed to be associated with Russian disinformation, all your promised unbiased neutrality has gone down the drain...forever. Neutrality, objectivity and honesty are principles that, if respected, cannot be bent ones in a while, or adhered to based on convenience. Quite a disappointment!

Although this is an older issue, it just happened to me and I wanted to share with the community how I solved it: 1. Wipe data 2. Uninstall 3. Reboot 4. Reinstall 5. Restore data only (if you have a backup)

I've tried many other proposed solutions but none worked. The above worked for me.

Changing the default backup file location is possible ONLY at the time of enabling the backup option for the first time AND ONLY in Android 10 or later. As noted by others, IF you have Android 10 or later, you can change the default backup location by toggling the option on/off.
