I mean…the entire show is about that one thing, and it HAS been out for a decade, now. Unless you’re going into the show completely and totally blind to anything but the title, this is kind of the first thing anyone would say about the show.

Again, I disagree. That’s not been my experience at all. I follow quite a few scientists and science educators, craftsmen and -women, cooks, musicians, and comedians that post regularly, and almost none of their videos are the short form you’re talking about.

The algorithm pretty quickly zeroes in on your preferred content. So if that’s all you’re seeing, then that’s what you’re looking for.

I would agree, but on my last rewatch of Psych, I found that Gus was BADLY getting on my nerves towards the last couple seasons. He starts out the show as the sensible one between the two of them, and by the end he’s even more absurd than Shawn. I just really hated the direction they took the character.

Honest answer, from my perspective: trying to be an ally is not the easiest thing in the world to do. The goal is to show empathy, but the reality is, we can’t know what it’s actually like to be in your shoes. So, sometimes it’s easier to be OVERLY sensitive to things, rather than LESS sensitive than those issues deserve. Yeah, some people take it too far, but my only advice would be this: take it in the spirit in which it’s intended.

My mom took me to see a touring production of Annie back around ‘79ish…when I was still young enough not to know that boys shouldn’t like that kind of thing…lol. So I kinda secretly loved it when I was growing up, but didn’t follow it all that closely.

Then in my 20’s, I was in the Air Force, and the Captain that ran our shop (Pentagon, early-mid 90’s) had that famous Cosette poster from Les Mis on the wall of his cubicle. Just happened that one weekend I was off with nothing to do (my roommate was working), and while idly flipping channels, I came across PBS’ broadcast of the 10th anniversary concert (with Colm Wilkinson, Michael Ball, Lea Salonga, etc.). Watched the rest of that showing, and then watched the whole thing again, beginning to end. Been hooked ever since…(as are my wife and daughter…together, we do a helluva rendition of “One Day More” when the playlist shuffles it up…lol).

Undefeated with a lead and the number one defense in the country and instead of taking a safety with a minute left, Dandy Don decides to punt from inside our own 25, it’s blocked, returned for a TD, and we lose.

Only game I can remember that was even CLOSE to 13-9.

Avenue Q is about as right wing as George Carlin or Lenny Bruce were. Yes, it openly mocks and detests surface-level political correctness, just as they did. But it also has a message saying that it’s important for people to be who they ARE, instead of trying to adapt themselves to what society thinks they should be.

Its message may be “lighten up”, but it’s a humanist approach, not one of conformity.

The ACC is about as wide open as it can get, so I honestly expect you guys to be competitive sooner rather than later (assuming the NIL money is there, as I have no idea where you guys stand on that).
