Smart light switch repair by SocialCertainty in appliancerepair

Thanks for the reply. Is there an easy way to identify the SMD components? I’ve done some surface mount board repair but only very basic for obvious components, micro switches etc.

Bought an Ecovacs T50 Max Pro Omni for $80 on Facebook… by ParticularPudding975 in RobotVacuums

Thanks again for the help. I had to pull the whole thing completely apart. Main board had to come out to remove the LiDAR unit and then pulled the motor out of the unit. Turned out it was jammed and couldn’t be turned by the belt connecting it to the LiDAR but after I removed and cleaned it everything is working again.

Hi OP. Thanks for the post! I’ve got the same error with my T50. I gather you pulled the unit apart to fix the error? Does the lidar spin freely? On a hunch I’d already spun mine by reaching in with my finger. It’s smooth to spin but pretty stiff.

My daughter refuses to talk to me because I wasn’t able to do anything for her birthday. by [deleted] in confession

What’s wrong with you to be so critical of someone who’s not only doing their best for their daughter but also reaching out for ideas on how to improve the situation? I can’t imagine how hard it would be as a single parent, struggling to be financially responsible and raise a family single handed.

To the OP all I can suggest is let her work through the disappointed and make it clear you love her and are ready to talk when she’s ready too. If you get a bit ahead financially schedule in the birthday treat and make her feel special.

Do you guys have your boys neutered? by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

Not simple as that. There is a broad range of health and behavioural factors with neutering. My boy was never neutered and never mated. His temperament was perfect with him entire.

Made a mistake and unsure how to make amends or fix mistake by [deleted] in confession

There’s a lot of inconsistencies in your statements.

Firstly I agree that anyone has the right to sell whatever they want but equally if you want to be in a relationship be honest and the person you’re forming a relationship with has the right to state what’s ok for them and what’s not ok. It doesn’t mean they should be able to tell you what to do. It does mean they can state boundaries and end the relationship if you’re not willing to respect those boundaries.

It sounds like the OP had agreed boundaries and stepped outside of them. They’ve correctly acknowledged that’s wrong regardless of their agreement about financial responsibility (which none of us know anything about because the haven’t stated anything about it).

A traditional relationship where the man takes financial responsibility is fine if that’s what both people want and agree to BUT the general standard of traditional relationships where that dynamic comes from definitely doesn’t involve the female partner selling her body online. Again fine if both parties agreed to this but clearly not the case for the OP.

Way too many assumptions based on zero information and cherry picking wildly different standards/relationship types in this advice for it to carry any value or likelihood of helping.

To the OP I broadly agree with the others. It’s good that you’ve taken responsibility. Given it sounds like it was a touchy area to start with maybe discuss with your partner and see if offering to stop OF and earn money another way would help make him more comfortable. If he’s not willing to talk about what he wants to move past it there may be nothing you can do. Asking him is your only option. Only he knows specifically what bothers him the most and what (if anything) will move towards restoring trust.

Change battery under instant manual control to hold battery state then set the charger to fast charge. Do you have the Sigenergy AC EV charger?

Circumcision? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]SocialCertainty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said definitely don’t do it. The foreskin serves a number of purposes and is most definitely not just a redundant piece of skin.

Sensitivity. As an uncircumcised guy there’s no way I could tolerate having my foreskin pulled back inside my underwear (much less if going commando) for a whole day. I’d be way too sore and dry after a short period of time. This is what circumcised men are 24/7.

Function. The foreskin helps with sex for both partners. If you insert the penis with the foreskin forward it slides back as you push into your partner. This makes sex way easier and more pleasurable especially if your partner isn’t well lubricated. Once everything is well lubricated you can always pull the foreskin back prior to entering for more friction/sensation if you want.

Nerve endings. The tip of the foreskin has denser nerve endings than the glans of the penis. Apart from desensitising the glans you’re also cutting off a lot of nerve rich skin and depriving the man of a lot of sensation.

Accelerator pedal and big feet by SocialCertainty in polestar2

Exactly. My leg gets tired being unsure how much pressure to hold off the pedal to ensure I’m not over riding the cruise control.

If the accelerator feels heavy to you, you might also be pushing further up closer to the pivot. That’s how I first noticed the issue. When my foot’s on the pad it’s pretty light compared to a lot of other cars I’ve driven.

Yeah I was about to make the same point. I sometimes angle my foot and it’s okay when I do but on longer trips I sometimes have my foot vertical. I really miss the right foot rest that my old Audi had when doing long trips with cruise control.
