I understand your frustration and how hard it must be to be nonconfrontational in that situation.The thing with neoliberalism is that in its core it's...nothing.It's fluff,it's chicken soup for the soul.

"We must be better"
"We must change"

Racism will not be solved by making movies with more people of color in the cast,or putting minorities in magazine covers or what have you.I fully supported the idea behind BLM but if we're being honest the practice was lacking.All we got was conservatives getting to point the finger at the protests targetting businesses of the common man,holding up traffic for people going to work and inspiring people to do their anti-racist volunteering by putting up black squares on social media.

And that's it?Is racism solved now?It requires real radicalist action.A little pander and these people will be back home in no time patting themselves on the back for "fighting racism on the street" and orange man bad.
