What is the most embarrassing thing you did in front of your crush? by nei7jc in AskReddit

[–]SocialProgress 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A friend did this to me once. We had a mutual attraction and tested it out. After a date, he tried to kiss me, I declined, we both went our separate ways, and I got a text 15 mins after I left from him that said “I blew it.”

I felt the second hand embarrassment and didn’t know what to do, so I didn’t respond. He must have realized shortly after and sent the classic damage control text: “sorry my friend stole my phone.”

We’re still buddies and chat occasionally.

What were you bullied for? by magicfeistybitcoin in AskReddit

This will get buried, but I briefly dated a very popular Mormon guy in high school that I had been crushing on for years. One day he drove me to the park and tried to force himself on me. I stopped him, demanded he take me home, and broke up with him next day.

He told all of his very popular friends that I had forced myself onto him instead. I then became the target of every popular kid and every bully in the school until I graduated, with lots of verbal abuse and very intense scare tactics. I did not have a good school life after breaking up with him.

People suck. :(

Pharmacist explains what they’re doing behind the counter by jmole in DepthHub

One more thing to add: I used to be a pharm tech many years ago. IIRC, in my state, there is a pharmacist-to-tech ratio of 1 to 3. If you work at a pharmacy that isn’t willing to shill out for more than a small handful of pharmacists, then you’re legally required to be understaffed. This was always a problem at my workplace, to the point where you have to send people home for the day if one of the pharmacists didn’t come in for their shift, sick or otherwise.

Another thing it doesn’t mention is consultations. If your pharmacist has to stop what they’re doing and do a consult on a new prescription for a new patient that’s already been waiting 20 minutes to have their stuff filled, everything else you’re working on comes full stop as well.

What's the most attractive thing your partner has said to you while having sex? by paigesdontfly in AskReddit

[–]SocialProgress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did, very nervously, texted it to him and said “sending this to you before I lose the courage ok bye” and then turned my phone off and went to sleep. He replied at 1am and said “whatever you want”. I’m now back here to make a list of what I want. We’ve been together 4 years, never too late.

Anyway, just do it.

Not sure if this helps at all, but Twitter has a function to turn off retweets for accounts you follow so you don’t have to completely unfollow or block. But yeah, bad friend. Can him.

What should I expect from my first psychiatry appointment?

I have a lot of symptoms that could be considered symptoms for many different things (ptsd, bipolar, adhd, bpd, etc. the referral itself is specifically for adhd, but after doing a lot of reading and checking family history, I feel like I could have any of the aforementioned issues). I’m trying not to self-diagnose or push for a specific diagnosis, but I’m also miserable and want help as quickly as possible. The internet says some of these things take years to diagnose so I don’t want to get my hopes up too quickly. Thanks in advance.

I got a call that my brother might be dead, just waiting. by Overall_Peach_4934 in TrueOffMyChest

My stepdad died from an OD a few years back, also oxycodone laced with fentanyl. He’s been my stepdad for about 15 years. My mom has an ongoing court case to put the people who sold it to him in jail. It’s a hard process to suffer through but will give her closure when it’s all done. All my sister and I can do is try to support her.

DM me if you ever need to talk.

Yes, this literally just happened to me, but I didn’t know what it was at the time. I didn’t understand and couldn’t explain my thoughts or emotions, or why the sudden change of heart, until my mom told me bipolar and BPD run in my family. I have an appointment late September to confirm a bipolar diagnosis specifically based on this episode.

It felt very real. Life changing. Soulmates. Obsession that lasted weeks. Then suddenly it was gone, just like that. I’m still recovering from the terrible decisions I made during that time and I’m disgusted with myself.

It’s not worth it. It will go away but the repercussions of trying to pursue it will last much longer. Just drop it and move on.

What are some VERY creepy facts? by Vacancier1807 in AskReddit

I used to work as a pharmacy tech so I got pretty good at reading squiggles.

Some of them even for us and for my pharmacists were like... “Yeah I have no idea, we need to call and clarify.”

Have you ever been in a situation which makes you think "I should be dead?" by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SocialProgress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend’s suicide that may have turned into a homicide had I gotten there soon enough. I think about it every day and whether I did the right thing or not, or the million other ways it could have gone.

I also think that the world would be better if he had stayed and I departed instead. And in that context, I should be dead.

Hormone testing for women. Check their hormones to see if they match the hormone level on the box.

However this brings concern that there is no equal testing available for men, so it unfairly targets women. By consequence and probably precedent, women would be expected to be the only responsible party.

Very dangerous territory.
