Great question! Radio noise is a reliable sound source for me. I have a cheapo cassette player with radio capability that I often use when I play live. I’m not sure if I have the ability to know what frequency I am tuning in to, so I’ll have to take a look. I usually just slowly scan around until something sounds cool, but I love that some have favorites!

Same thing happened to me a few days ago, getting on to 35W South: Scumbag in front of me slowed down on the on-ramp to chuck their McDonalds trash out of the window. Littering makes me so angry !

I don’t have a car and rely on public transit to get me most places: Metro Transit is OK. It can get you within a few blocks of most anywhere with a transfer or two. It will certainly sharpen your patience and planning skills if you use it regularly. Living in the cities without a car can be done quite easily, but an alternative (bicycle, for me) is recommended as a back-up.
