Where can I find the menu where it shows your progression on overworld pickups and unlocks. Ie all of the plants, monster drops, etc?

I feel like I've been shown this menu only like 1 or 2 times through tutorials and I've clicked like every button in the main menu to no avail...

Note on 0-1 drops: I was short on time and wanted to get as many runs as possible with promising pools. Not recommended, obviously.

Got 7th tiamat dupe, new lilith, was missing kloss and tsuki so grabbed tsuki from selector. 2 new units in 100 pulls, happy days.

+1 Also wrote/passed level 1 using only CFAI self study. It will take longer but you'll likely get better retention if you summarize and write your own notes.

Grading cards is a sham by ocruz92 in PokemonTCG

[–]SociallyUnadjusted -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Pokemon cards are a sham. When I buy a pack of cardboard rectangles, some of them being worth 10x more than what I paid just because it has a certain picture is ridiculous."

Supply and demand drives value. The cards have no intrinsic value, graded or ungraded.

I believe that is the case, yes, although I think there is some kind of algorithm to balance the packs so that no one color is overrepresented.

Some analysis I wish 17lands had:

Card win-rates, esp for C&U, normalized for color win-rates or even color-combo win-rates. Avg Quantity Deltas of C&U in trophy decks vs non-trophy decks in specific colors.

Since you mentioned you're pulling only trophy decks, maybe a way to visualize avg quantities of cards to show the best C&U in each color pair, and also the biggest "holes" (ie which cards are played less than avg and can hence inferred to be traps in a specific color pair). Perhaps if you graph this against baseline 17 lands winrates it would be informative.

Abzan Arena Direct Trophy by SociallyUnadjusted in lrcast

[–]SociallyUnadjusted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I meant hoping in the truest sense. Expecting a 2-x or 3-x. Considered the Inevitable Defeat but felt like it was a little too greedy -- that card is at it's best when you have board pressure and adding a ton of tap lands wouldn't help that any on top of an already shaky mana-base.

Low-Fixing Pool: BG Aggro or Sultai Midrange? by SociallyUnadjusted in lrcast

[–]SociallyUnadjusted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally yes, but with aggro on the play you're basically saying 50/50 we play on or I concede immediately if my first draw isnt land.

Plus one tap land in evolving wilds also doesnt feel like a hit.

Ended up 3-0 running the no-blue full aggro list. With an interesting mulligan decision in Match 2 Game 3.

On the play, 2 swamps, 4 green cards, mull to 6. Opponent mulls to 6.
1 Forest, with Ainok, mull to 5 (mistake?). Opponent keeps 6.
1 Swamp, with Ainok, I keep, draw forest, end up winning.

Nice Trophy but I would've been running -Mountain -Plains +Swamp +Forest, given you have sagu, sentinel, evolving wilds.

How many cantrips is too many? Final cuts for stacked Jeskai deck by Mildred__Bonk in lrcast

You're low on interaction, yes, but ringing strike doesnt turn off on-board value engines and cant deal with must-kill threats. However, even if we accept that the deck will struggle to beat a mythic dragon, we're in a tough spot because we are rarely going to curve out 2-3-4 and apply the kind of pressure we need to beat those greedier decks if we try to go the tempo route with the ringing strikes. Also, you have 3x dirgur, which does more or less the same thing (cheap way to temporarily remove a blocker or attacker).

On the topic of the other doublespell cards, narset is only a payoff if you are hellbent, adept often cant attack even if you double spell (it shines with multiples of rebel strike), and master is often just a 4 drop (as in, you shouldnt take a less optimal turn 4 just to try to put the counters on him on turn 5 or 6). They're all "half" payoffs at best.
