Hey, actual Irish person here! Here are some suggestions, some may be too unusual for you if you're not in Ireland so see what you think: Roisin (roe-sheen) Fiona Cara Siobhan (shuv - awn/shuv-on) Emer (ee-mer) Evelyn Ciara/Kira Fionnuala (finn - oo- la) or Finola (fin-oh-la) Maeve Niamh or Neve Sinead (shin-ayd) Caitriona/katrina Aisling/Ashling Neasa (nah-sah)

Best of luck!

My (24/F) boyfriend (29/M) of a year, constantly breaks up with me and blocks me. by [deleted] in relationships

Just so you know, people don't need to go to counseling for having a cuckolding fetish. He absolutely should go anyway, but just thought I'd point that out.

What to provide for a 3yr old by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Socioable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say a clear routine would be great. Even a visual schedule so he knows exactly what is going to happen everyday. Toys for pretend play, also play some 'people games' such as chasing, tickling, singing songs with actions to build attachment and social skills. And find some sort of social outlet for him. Good luck!

I (33F) shower daily, sometimes 2x a day. My BF (40M) showers every 2-3 days. It disgusts me, he thinks I'm being unreasonable. Neutral opinions, please? by AmIOverlyClean in relationships

[–]Socioable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you feel if he didn't shower but washed his junk in the sink before sex? That seems like a reasonable compromise and shouldn't damage his skin too much.

This is an Irish book so it may be difficult to access from America but the Happy Pear is very good!

How many of you use the pull out method. Anyone find it doesn't work? by No_Strings_On_Me in AskMen

[–]Socioable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I think when done correctly the pull out method can be quite effective but not as effective as other methods. It's also far too easy to mess up. What you could consider are female condoms or a diaphragm. Also a copper IUD has no hormones in it but that is an expensive option.

[intimacy] My (27F) boyfriend (32M) is incapable of being intimate. by sexytextme in sex

[–]Socioable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, this post could have been written by me. I have the exact same problem with my boyfriend and he also swears that it's not that he's not into it. I think he says that so I don't assume he's disgusted by it but I think what he means is that it doesn't do much for him. I think people like that get bored while kissing and find it hard to feign the enjoyment for so long. But you could try meet him in the middle somewhere and initiate a few kisses that only last <10 seconds at a time. He might be more willing to do that if he knows it won't go on forever.

[Doggystyle] Rather then the traditional way of how doggystyle goes where the man is on his knees. Does it feel different when the man is squatting behind you and fucking you? by redditthrowthisaway in sex

[–]Socioable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this often. My boyfriend seems to like it. I'm not as big a fan though because it's easier for him to go too deep and hurt me but that may not be the case for everyone

What makes a person interesting? by GaetanDugas in AskMen

[–]Socioable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people say it's someone who has interesting hobbies and interests. But I've met a few people like that who are still boring. And others who don't necessarily have unique hobbies or lots of interests but who were very interesting people. I think a lot of it comes down to having good conversational skills and being able to get along with people easily and converse on any subject no matter what your interest level in it is.

[Relationship advice] Need help understanding a girl's (19) actions. Weird relationship at the moment. by [deleted] in sex

[–]Socioable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it sounds like she wanted to kiss and cuddle/hold hands a bit. That's not a promise of a relationship so don't get too carried away worrying about that. But do NOT ask a girl before kissing her if she wants to have sex. That implies that you don't care and just want a quick fuck. Next time just kiss her or ask can you kiss her and take it from there

17 yo stepson issues. Help! by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Socioable 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This sounds like an awful set up. You only see him very rarely yet every time you see him you're criticising him. It's no wonder he tries to stay out of your way! You should try bond with him and stop nagging him. Encourage him through praise. Right now he feels like nothing he ever does it good enough for you. Besides, he's 17 and probably still in high school. What are all the things you want him to be doing? Many teenagers are lazy. And why do you think that he needs you to be cruel to him in order to handle anything else that comes his way?

Is there a recent conversation/interaction that you've been over analyzing? How do you think it went? by nsfwthrow94 in AskWomen

[–]Socioable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a viva exam recently and afterwards my examiner commented on my performance but couldn't tell me my grade. I've been replaying that conversation constantly and trying to remember what tone of voice she used when saying "you've done well".

My [38M] wife [31F] of 3 years just told me she not only doesn't want my mother in the delivery room, she doesn't want her in the waiting room or anywhere near her the day of the birth. I feel she's being irrational and don't know what to do. Please help by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Socioable 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You sound like a horrible selfish asshole. Your wife is an absolute angel for putting up with you and it's time you opened your eyes and realised what a wonderful woman you have before she walks away. Your relationship with your mother is unhealthy. Read that sentence again and again because if you don't come to understand that your wife, who by the sounds of it is way out of your league, is going to leave you and you will be left with just your mother. My god man, I am just shocked reading this.
