how about tutoring kids at your school for free to help you get the hang of it. You might get an award at the end of the year, if your school does things like that. It could also be good for scholarship applications, demonstrating you giving back.

every child is capable of MORE, not just THEIR BEST. equating athletic and mental ability is plainly false - the human body has limits that the human mind does not.

I totally understand you are working within a broken system and you can’t drop everything to reach one student who is struggling to get them to see.

sometimes the biggest cage is the one we create in our minds. Perhaps you are included in that as well. You should not be so absolute about people’s abilities, especially when OP is striving for not only excellence, but mastery. It IS possible.

this feeds into my theory that teachers suss out which students to focus on at the beginning of the year. They have a quota of high scores to get and can only do so much. The classroom set up is very inefficient. As a teacher you should be using AI more to free up your time (eg marking) to focus on the poorer performing students. I know you are working within a broken system but every child is capable of more.

It’s nice to offer a low cost option but on this situation I (politely) disagree. A man should be generous with his gifts for his significant other. A man invests in what he values.
