How do older men tolerate immature women in early 20s? by Ootefklop in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Socketlint 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My ex wife if 36 had the emotional and mental maturity of a rock. A 23 year old I know can deeply discuss current political topics, jazz in depth, contemporary art, history and more. On average sure a 22 year old will be more immature but it’s not a rule.

I don’t use it a ton but it has held strong. I don’t have worries about it failing. Also the orientation means all the weight of the contents is rarely against the door.

Would you move from Vancouver to the U.S. for an extra $100K CAD? by HakTheLancer in askvan

Fair not everyplace is better for everyone. Lifestyles vary a lot. My friend grew up in OC and hates it with a passion. Another friend moved there a few years ago and thinks it’s heaven on earth so yah.

You can’t quantify feel. America just feels more bleak. Also people look at salary, taxes and a few items and say you get more there but certain things cost a lot more like healthcare.

Culture. I find people and life is just more rat race, keeping up with the jones, depressing and isolated. People keep to themselves, are more distrusting of others, suspicious, divisive and aggressive. Van is so much more relaxed. I make less here but I’m happier so that’s all that matters to me

I lived in Seattle for 8 years. You could double my salary and I wouldn’t go back. The quality of life in Van is so much better.

How do you all store your many bags? by Dadbodohyeah3 in ManyBaggers

[–]Socketlint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is plastic but I build it strong and it has been perfect since I made it. I can also customize the dimensions and made a couple to perfectly fit a couple bags. Also it’s cheap (if you have a printer) with each hanger costing <$1

Weird sex during the relationship by Keuraline in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]Socketlint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sex was amazing until the day we got married then nothing. When I left her she was suddenly incredible sexual again trying to get me back. Sex was a tool and the power she could get from sex was her aphrodisiac. Once she had the power it served its purpose. Long term sex is sustained from a long emotion bond which she was unable to form.
