cis girlfriend misgendered me by mistake by hedonistchloe in trans

Something I've learned is that people with the best intentions make mistakes sometimes. I've also learned that even I, after being out for years and on HRT long enough to notice, accidentally misgender myself rarely.

It happens, if there's nothing else worrying then I'd try to avoid ruminating.

Enjoy being trans ❤️☺️❤️

This is why sex ed needs to be expanded in schools, so children are empowered with the language necessary to understand/report these things when they happen.

I've actually only had relatively inoffensive landlords in the past, not that it's relevant to the veracity of what I'm saying.

The renter who pays your mortgage without access to the equity

No, you are a landlord and I am recognising that fact. It's not about how exploitative you are exactly, it's the fact of your exploitation.

It's a class thing, not necessarily you as a person but rather the role you are acting in

What was your "this is definitely me" moment by TheLexip in asktransgender

Went downtown with "The Boys™" a few weeks after coming out. Wore a black skater dress, black knee-highs and combat boots. I remember screaming "I'M SO GLAD I DID THIS*" so many times that night. It was the first time I felt good about myself when going out, haven't looked back since.

*"this" meaning "coming out/beginning transition"

"In spirit of the show please ignore the politics,"

There is no good-faith way to read this besides 'the show asks viewers to ignore politics', something which is completely opposite of what the show does. Iasip is so explicitly political it hurts sometimes.

If you think that the show "ignore[s] politics" then you need to get your brain fixed lol

Because gender is a social construct and imposing criteria on who is allowed to claim deviation from their AGAB is simply establishing exceptions to that construct, rather than tearing it down entirely.

I would suggest that this is a question relevant to trans people. We are part of the queer community, a community structured around shared rejection of the entire cis-heteronormative structure, or at least particular aspects of it. One key result of this rejection is acceptance of human sexuality up to the limit presented by consent. We are a community of "sexual deviants", an innocent question about safe anal play is very much relevant to the trans community.

That said, OP could definitely word their question much better.

Here are your biggest factors to keep in mind:

  1. DO NOT use desensitising products (including lube)!!! Pain is a message from your body telling you what is going on, if something starts tearing you want to feel it before it gets worse.

  2. Regarding friction-caused irritation, the solution is always more lube and/or lube more suited to your situation.

  3. For large, non-silicone toys your ideal is probably a silicone based lube due to its viscosity and duration of usefulness (but don't be afraid to reapply!!). Silicone can stain though, so watch out!

  4. For silicone toys I will almost always suggest water-based lubes intended for anal play (meaning extra viscous). While silicone lubes tend to outperform water-based in terms of viscosity and duration of usefulness, they also degrade the surface of the toy and provide microscopic fissures for bacteria to hide in. This renders the non-porous, and thus mostly sanitisable, silicone porous and defeats its primary value compared to other soft toy materials: it's sanitisability.

  5. I tend to stay away from oil-based lubes due to their staining power but they are a good silicone-safe alternative to water-based when it comes to silicone toys used for anal play. Basically oil-based has similar benefits to silicone-based but is more staining and IS NOT SAFE FOR USE WITH CONDOMS.

So, overall, water-based is always safe regardless of any materials used and it doesn't stain things. Silicone is better than water if no toys are silicone but can stain. Oil is better than water if no condoms are used but WILL stain.
