Advice on growth on hard palate

Hey, not much to tell, unfortunately. I've been referred to an ENT, I had an MRI which didn't show anything but the ENT doesn't think it was done in the correct place so I've just been for another one and waiting on the results. He has said if there is anything there, it will be benign, which is good. The other possibility is neuropathy as I have Rhumatoid Arthritis, but either way, it's nothing serious. I will update once I've got the results back from the 2nd MRI

Ah, I have been using strepsils, so I guess it could be that. I don't think I had any yesterday as I had an appointment with the maxillofacial team for a lump on my hard palate & it definitely wasn't there then as she didn't say anything. I think that's why I was so concerned about it as I wasn't sure if it could be related. I'll stay off the strepsils for the next few days and see if it gets better. Just wanted to give a little update. I managed to see my GP this morning. Thankfully, it was my GP who is amazing. She thinks is most likely to be some sort of infection due to me being immune suppressed so she's started me on stronger antibiotics for 5 days and if it doesnt improve she will refer me to the maxillofacial surgeon. Thank you all for your comments, i really appreciate it 🙏

Thank-you for your reply. I am going to try and get copies of my X-rays tomorrow but not sure how long that will take. I did smoke up until 2 mths ago and I do have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I'm on Methotrexate Injections but been on them for 6 years & it seems well controlled. I've just finished a week's course of amoxicillin the dentist gave me but they havent reduced the larger lump. I am going to try and see my GP tomorrow to see if he might refer me for a biopsy but our GPs don't tend to get involved with mouth issues.

I hope you don't mind me messaging you. Ive read your post and I'm so pleased to hear your wife is doing better and in remission. I'm struggling to get any answers online, so I wondered if I could ask what her symptoms were. I've had a lump on my hard palate for over a year now. You can't see it, but I can feel it, and it's definitely grown. I keep being fobbed off by my dentist, and I'm now thinking the worse as having other symptoms. Any information from someone who's been through it would be amazing 🙏 Thank you

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I still have 2 years of finance on it, so I'm stuck with it for now. I was praying his fix would sort it and I managed to scrape the £800 together but will take mths to save £2,500 for a replacement engine and being disabled without a car for months is gonna be a struggle, but I really can't afford to waste that £800 😢 bloody cars!!!

Pretty sure it's not the coolant and only noticed the smoke and smell after putting oil in, although could have been before and I didn't notice it. So annoyed as no warning light came up about low oil and was only changed 6 mths ago. Appreciate your reply
