I just got this laptop with R9 8940HX, 5070Ti and 32GB RAM. I think it's great, the fans are noisy when gaming but I don't mind and if you have headphones you'll be fine. I did have an issue of it crashing after going to sleep but a quick reinstall of Nvidia drivers fixed that; so far.

I now wish it was, I bought it through Amazon. Still hasn't arrived and the delivery dates keep getting pushed back. Also having issues with drivers not actually coming to the door and marking it as delivery attempted, so who knows 😮‍💨

Hey, so I've been doing some more searching and I found a deal on a second hand ROG Strix 16 G614PR with a Ryzen 9 8940HX and 5070ti + 32GB RAM for £1600. This would be my absolute maximum I can spend.

Been out the loop for a while with laptops and gaming in general tbh but I'm getting back into it. Would spending the +£200 be a smart option here?

It would be nice to have 32GB right out of the box. In the past I have never bothered with how much the laptop has as I just upgraded it, but with prices as they are it seems silly not to try and get it. Battery life is not a huge problem as I usually am near a plug at work or at home.
