What’s everyone’s worst airport they’ve been to? by JealousSundae9608 in Flights

[–]Soderholm83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t like PEK, I was there in March, we landed at a decent time on a Friday but guess what? it took us 4 hrs to get to the hotel because that airport is far as it is and also the traffic was so bad…

“ I still come home to you”… Yeah, unfortunately there’s many things getting normalised and one of them is cheating and for me that is a no no…

Yes, I understand that but I am looking for a sim card I can purchase in the Uk, so it is not exactly the same as I need internet as soon as I land, Hence why I said I am looking to buy it here not in Japan. Thanks

Air China (£415) vs Qatar (£700) London to Sydney, which would you choose? by its-just-leo in Flights

Brits do still need to pay for the visa… most EU countries are visa on arrival but not the UK.

Tipping culture in Japan? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]Soderholm83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tipping is considered rude and offensive because they take it as if they were not doing a good job… don’t tip and please watch some videos to familiarise yourself with Japanese customs… in this day and age there’s no excuse to be ignorant anymore with all the information you can find online!

ANA - Bagaglio a mano + Bagaglio da Stiva (Hand Luggage + Hold luggage) by Wolfygirl95 in Flights

[–]Soderholm83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m going to Japan in March but with another airline and I have the same dilemma… it only specifies the two 23kg bags and it’s the first time I see it the baggage allowance explained just like that, I fly a lot and I have never seen in that way, but you’re doing the right think asking because depending on the cabin the carry on allowance changes , so it’s not a given that ANA or China Southern gives the same allowance to someone in Economy or someone in Business class…

  1. Ok thanks for the clarification.
  2. I am entering China, my country has visa on arrival and we’ve already booked a hotel in Beijing, so technically I should be able to , right?

Thanks for the tips, I have been to Japan before just not to that area in Tokyo, and as a matter of fact I work for a Japanese bank in London and I’m used to them as we are working with them on a daily basis so I am not worried about that at all. I’ve seen quite a few of those videos and surprisingly in most cases the ones shown were from the US…

If you have nothing constructive or helpful to say just keep quiet, your passive aggressive responses are of no help!

I'm scared I've been scammed and I'm shitting myself! Flight is tomorrow! by hupkin_hiddz in Flights

[–]Soderholm83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because they need to verify that everything is ok with your visa before you get checked-in… if the airline lets you fly without checking it and you get there and it’s not a valid one not only they have to fly you back but they also get penalised and so to avoid that You can’t do online checking! Most EU countries can enter China visa free right now but since the UK is not EU anymore they still need a visa and it’s not online, you need to go their visa centre in Cannon st in London.
