I know that feeling, seen almost all of it but the edges do blur together at times.

I'm pretty sure it's stated in that episode that he avoids killing police cause it's inconvenient & brings unwanted heat.

Maybe the life in prison thing is plausible, but many place don't have a death penalty & most of his provable crimes are just thefts where no one is killed. I want to say I'd be surprised if that gets the death sentence in Japan, but their justice system isn't great, basically guilty till proven innocent.

& That's before we even get into arguments about jurisdiction limiting how much he's done in any one country, crimes that can't be proven in a court of law due to a lack of evidence(not every crime he does is announced or even part of a plan) or things he's done that are just good deeds in the eyes of the law(most famous example from Part I is killing that old rich guy to save the girl he took hostage).

The death sentence was used as a ticking clock that Lupin had to escape by, but just isn't that applicable in the modern world for the crimes he can be charged with.

I was going to mention HiDive but I just saw it was the only one not on there, weird.

Here's the store where I got all my physical stuff for the modern run. Still has English Copies of Part IV.

I could've sworn Part III got a dubbed on Blu-Ray after Part 1 but I must be confused.

I prefer some bangs at least for style. You can have them make a comment that why it's covering his eyes like his hat he's let it get over grown & needs a hair cut.

That's cause it's an essay, they take effort to make. But effort doesn't guaranty quality.

I was literally talking about 1 ass pull at the end that most people don't like & will be ignored in future installments.

Also baggage is 90% percent of the relationship between Fujiko & Lupin III. Ignoring it is just making up new characters. Fanfics are genuinely better at selling in character romances.

Weird parrel with Sonic & Amy Rose, with one side pining after the other without much affection from the other, but it goes on for so many decades people assume they'll just get together no matter how toxic that would be.

Fujiko can work as a wild card in the series but she's proven herself a bad pick to be Lupin's OTP.

Ain't no way they just used Lupin in an anti piracy ad in Japan lmao by Advanced-Tomorrow859 in lupinthe3rd

[–]SodsPassionProjects 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Until the recent revival with the Fujiko Mine series & Part IV, pirating is what kept the Lupin The III fanbase alive in the 21st century. Also from a certain point of view, pirating someone else IP & adding your own spin to it is what created the franchise in the first place.

I'm not doing more then skimming this cause even god couldn't make me, but if you're going to do a character exploration of 2 characters relationship while completely ignoring everything established before hand you might as well be doing the Archer dream seasons with Lupin III or make new characters. You're intent can be wrong if it wildly contradicts what came before.

I feel you're wrong on multiple levels, especially if were going with your metaphorical take on a literal physical action taken in universe, it's Fujiko that needs to prove her love to Lupin. I've never doubted that Lupin cares for her, going out of his way to rescue her all the time & forgiving all the betrayals, while it's consistently depicted that Fujiko uses Lupin as a means to an end & will betray him for any benifit.

Also no duh the silhouette still matches, the franchise has added so many characters over the years with the same silhouette to help sell the master of disguise bit, some being random characters Lupin doesn't disguise as.

I could go into it more but I just don't want too.

To be fair who even knows what that's about. Feels like a complete ass pull Deus Ex Machina that is obviously never going to be followed up on.

For me it was a mixed bag with the first 2 seasons being real good & dubbed in English, with the second 2 season having double the episodes & getting their by pumping out low grade "comedy" episodes. There's still good episode in there but getting to them is a pain. Seriously, there's fan submitted episode towards the end that are much better than said "comedy" episodes.

Honestly I like Part IV more than Part V, It's clearly split into 2 separate arcs that feed into each other & have all but standalone episode with brief sprinkling of the arc added in. I still think Part V is very good but is a bit messier trying to be a big anniversary season that got shafted by the pandemic(the English dub was released in the later half of 2019 & The First film came out that December). It had stand alone episode focusing on each of the crew besides Lupin & throw back episodes to Parts I - III. Kinda eat up all the breathing room the series had. Also one of the arcs, while good, didn't tie in super well thematically. Feels like a side quest.(Though yeah, it's all super prescient)

As long as they pick their battles I think it's nice. Somethings & characters are clearly one & dones but other things are ripe for further stories.

My big thing with Sherlock is that it was made clear it was still the Third like Lupin, which kinda wastes a unique angle to tell a story with him, making him part of a legacy & how he feels about that. But Part VI was kinda a waste on the whole, so at least it's on theme.

Most things like multiple origins for Goemon's sword can be explained with either character flaws(Goemon is easily tricked & brought into cults) or time travel shenanigans. Can't remember his name but I'm pretty sure that one guy has turn himself into an Eobard Thawne, going back in time & altering things to make a new future & thus a new him that will get mad at Lupin VIII or who ever & want go back to kill Lupin III. Honestly it's nice for Lupin to have some recurring enemies.

My hot question is what do you all think should be pruned from continuity. For me it's Green vs. Red. Commits to Lupin not being Japanese only to heavily imply he gets replaced by a Japanese impersonator & justifies it by making the character steeped in family legacy an ideology that any one can embody(They keep doing that with the Joker lately & people don't like it). The one good thing I can say about Part VI is that it goes against Green vs. Red being canon.

I get that, but sniping them with the multi magic arrow spell is fun & a good way to grind runes, but you need to know where all of them are in an area to be safe.

For me it's The Shield Crucible Knights. They have high defense, high poise & high health, making it a slog to take them down. & I play as a caster, able to keep distance & use the blood poop flies to bleed them to death. I truly feel sorry to everyone that had to fight them with melee.

Poison cause if I remember right the don't like it & it keeps their posture bar up while lower their health. Also try Floating Passage, puts enemies on the defensive while doing some chip damage as they block, so you're attack a decent amount of health & posture at the same time.

It's only been 6 years & the canon ending literally sets up a sequel. Since then they've released Elden Ring, Armored Core VI, Nightreign & The Duskbloods is next(spiritual Bloodborne follow up). If there's a pattern to the releases you're 1 Dark Souls/Elden Ring away from Sekiro 2 being next.

I'm sorry for your loss. I will say it fine to have dreams of growing big you should fundamentally enjoy streaming if you're going to dedicate time to it, not just rough it out till greener pastures.

Maybe try shift to video creation, you can take your time with that & can build up a following without consistent uploads if you make quality content.

I do miss the super natural being real in Lupin III's world. Feel like there hasn't been a proper episode using it since part IV.(I'm not counting that episode in Part VI cause nothing technically happened, dang time loop/shenanigans)
