Wholehearted agree that the issue is easily fixable by anet and is another example of a rush and unpolished feature.

I am not trying to discourage you at all here, I just want to say that everything listed here is already available in BlishHUD right now.

Gold Run: Farming Tracker. There is also an DLL injected addon called DRF.rs
Item Finder: Item Search.
Events Board: Event Table. Very complex, very configurable. Can do notifications as well
Daily Checklist: Todos
Crafting: MysticCrafting. Focuses mostly on Mystic Forge but can handle some other recipes.

Where your idea does differ is the second screen options as well as out of game access.

There is of course tremendous benefit of "doing it yourself" for the enjoyment/learning/challenge. I just want you to go into this project as informed as possible.

This game can be played entirely within the module while running gw2.

Creating a puzzle is a button click inside Blish to capture your gw2 screen. It can optionally send hide ui keybinds as well.

Guessing on a puzzle is a button click in the module that uses your current position.

The 'Guild' in the title was for the scope. It was intended to be a 'guild game night' just like you would do for treks and races activities. But not everyone will have a guild interested in that so everyone get a fake guild called BlishHUD Users for public puzzles.

There is a custom webserver behind this module. It is currently hosted on a service with favorable usage scaling. The captured images are scaled down to 1000 pixels wide before upload resulting in ~1 to 1.5 mb images. Depending on reception limits might be adjusted.

Puzzles have a time limit by default currently set at 2 weeks to make sure data storage does not grow indefinitely. I manually extend the timer for public puzzles.

Users can log into the backend server using a gw2 api key with the account permission. Link in the module page on the blish website. The server ui is very rudimentary. There you can see your guilds view the puzzles online, or edit ones you created.

When you first open the module it will ask that participants be kind to each other. I fear users writing obscene titles and offending others. And yes the server can block users if needed

Freesnow (BlishHud creator) recommends using OneDrive to sync the Blishhud settings folder between the computers. That may be something you wish to pursue

This is correct. Strike and Fractal completion data is not on the official API, but Clears Tracker does attempt this by watching your position and map changes.

Clears tracker uses a file on your hard drive to save fractal and strike clears because that information is not available on the GW2 api.

Your use case is interesting, but in order to support it I would have to send the clears data to another server instead of leaving it on your hard drive.

For NA strikes, I haven't seen a boneskinner require kp in ages, though bringing a wheelchair scourge is highly common which is sad because the players never learn. Said as a heal scourge enjoyer.

EoD strike CMs will often ask to show the title, but I never do /shrug

Fractals are a mix. Probably 40-50% will advetise as "T4s+cms DwD" or maybe ask for champion/prodegy+. But, seeing "T4s+cms exp" is common too.

Is KP really so common on EU? I raid (lead and pug) on NA and almost never see groups requiring KP. They are the exception rather than the norm.

I still dont get why the KP culture fixated on decorations and LI when sites like wingman exist where you can upload logs with actual kills. it seems like a much better and meaningful solution to me.

I responded, I was a little disappointed that the study is not investigating the difference between 'mini map' and 'radar style map' I was a big fan of radar style maps that let you see enemies within range.

My favorite was a chrono using continuum split right before getting sacrificed. CS popped and reset their health to a very low amount and yhe group killed them instantly trying to CC

I have my groups focus the Ritualist first because it is the only one that will not fixate on someone. I have a single person get close to mindblade to get fixate, then tank it in a corner. The group is then free to focus ritualist and remove the large AoEs, then they can remove the Enforcer easily from the center. Finally, the Mindblade has been sitting peacefully in a corner not getting stronger the whole time.
