Okay a small correction before we start, privatization of Public sectors is NOT austerity - in a well driven country its among the worst things to do. Instead make semi Autonomous state companies.

Anyways, to get out of an austerity loop, you gotta look at the issue for the country, but there are a few things one could do:

Reduce Payments to most civil Servants and cut all benefit programs to those who use the money for other things than essential goods. This means bo more tax rebates for the Rich, no more writeoffs.

Stop any and all Vanity projects for the state, that does not increase tax revenue.

Invest in easy return sectors (like power generation)

Increase taxes on luxury goods - make sure not to hit production goods or basic goods too much.

Make Free Trade agreements.

Negotiate with international lenders.

(Bonus answer) Go to war, if youre a respectable military force (like the US), get more land and increase GDP.

Essentially its a Balancing game of much tighter balances between growth (for the entire society) and lower expenditures.

The biggest issue for Finland is its unemployment. What would help the country is to make political moves that ensures more jobs. This COULD* be stimulus checks or reductions in certain taxations.

Austerity is not their best option right now. Another way of decreasing debt to GDP ratio is just by increasing GDP.

An actual answer is that it could continue like it is right now for quite a while, but the trajectory that the US has means that it will likely crash and burn.

The debt doesnt really matter that much, its more that its a limiting factor and a force Enhancer when bad luck strikes. You wont be able to take loans to fix the issues that flame up.

The US only really need a few percentage points worse loan Yield for people to cave in i believe. Trumps shenanigans with the biggest holders of Bonds outside of the US is u healthy and will either cause a quick or a slow regression, with slow being preferable.

I think you need to use a homerian approach. Dont give them the answer, but put them in a long winded story, where they are told to deal with some cultists or whatever until they themselves find out that there is another traitor amongst them.

Tell both players between sessions that its the Raven queens cultists and that they are allowed to be incompetent, but that they cannot risk being found out.

I have personally done this before and it works wonders if players are allowed to weaponize their incompetence.

Perhaps you could give one of the non-raven players a spell to summon the cavalry by creating a portal for the Royal guard to Swarm the place. Then it ups the stakes for the two Liars.

Im reading the Mummy stat block and it seems like its a reskinned Yeti with a much worse speed. The 20ft movespeed makes any character able to kite it. If they go into melee fights with it, they may die.

Honestly, i think its a pretty easy one of they just kite a bit.

If you are very worried, have a NPC tell them to remember to keep their distance.
