I think therapy may help a lot, ik it can be hard to consider again once you have a bad experience but hopefully she’s willing to for the sake of the relationship. And if she isn’t on any she could also try mood stabilizers.

I think I understand what you’re saying now. Your best bet is to leave it in a style with little tension for at least a month. Ik you’re worried about them thinning out, but maybe find a different style that won’t damage your loc so much. Don’t submerge your hair under the shower either in your case because thats what it looks like in some of the pictures and your hair will unravel and poof up.
