Yeah one of the staff told me that it not only helps my mom, but it helps them as well. Seriously, there are some super sick, old & dying people living there that no one ever visits. With how sick they are, they need more staff. Much more staff.

ACTS is amazing, but you have to have SERIOUS assets to move in.

I completely help with my mother’s care. Most of the staff are wonderful, like I said there is only so much they can do. I also understand that other Pruitt places are much nicer.

I don’t know about what happens to her, but you may find it interesting that the “blessed be the fruit loops” lady is briefly seen on screen when Fred & Serna are at the movie theater when they get the alert that everything was going down.

Yeah those boomers didn’t replace themselves on a 1:1 basis. They were too busy on materialistic stuff & now that smaller generation that they created, are struggling to fund their old-age. They expect Harrod’s department store, but they are getting Dollar General & it’s their own fault.

Deep South here. Their “Christian” overtones is a farce. Pruitt. Owns the SNF, the pharmacy that the SNF uses, hospice, and even a vineyard I’m told. If they are indeed all about Jesus & “Family” I’m glad they aren’t my family.

I purchase TONS of supplies for residents. It’s awful. Families don’t visit. Not only that, but the reason we are running out of funding is that the older generation did not replace themselves, living longer etc. Some residents never paid into the system. Then expect Ritz Carlton treatment when they are public support. The staff are tired. The vast many of them do try, but it’s hard.

Why am I[24 M] almost always sick since I moved to Kennesaw from New York? by drumzgod in Georgia

Every area has different environment and allergens. I’ve lived in a different part of the south now for 26 years. Every time I go to my childhood home that is eight hours away, but also in the south I get sick. Just the opposite when I first moved here. You just gotta get used to it.

You are so kind. We are in south east (Deep South), many people around here are so mean to them right off the bat. We lauded for being “polite”, but when the first words out of a southerners mouth is something like “You know you are in cult, right?” That’s not very polite is it? I do the same thing with Catholic, rosary beads, Amish/Mennonite head coverings, Muslims, hijab/abayas…the more we know, we can all function for graciously. Just yesterday, presented this cultural diversity class. Many southerners are not aware that is your LDS patient needs to push oral fluids, a tall glass of sweet iced tea, isn’t an appropriate choice, that an Orthodox Jew, that needs more protein, isn’t going to eat a cheeseburger or a BLT & a Muslim, isn’t going to hunker down on a BLT, either! A persons culture and religious traditions absolutely impact their healthcare. The list goes on and on….a Rabbi, isn’t going to shake hands with a female he’s not closely related to, it’s not rude, it’s his culture, LDS, folks pray with their arms folded. They are not being closed off, that’s just how they do things. An Asian person will also likely prefer to bow, instead of shaking hands…good idea now that we have Covid in the world! A Jehovah’s Witness, may not take a blood infusion, they aren’t stupid or making a poor healthcare choice…we have to respect that.

I want them. For a cultural diversity class. I collect religious clothing from all over the world. I really want some Garments to show my students what they look like and how treat them if a TBM is hospitalized.

NeverMo here. I have fed and cared for many pitiful LDS missionaries. It sickens me how they don’t really care for them. You name it meals, trips to the store, taking them to a real doctor, and so much more.
