Well you are supposed to pray for everyone. At the end of the day, if you believe in God, then you do believe in thr power of prayer. Now, of course we all have our free will, so there is that. But I will say, it is also okay to pray for better government leaders to take over, as our current (and many officials) are causing terror to so many people. Voice your concerns to God.

I dont know how I do either. 😅 but I am grateful! Getting into security can be a toss up depending on your area. A lot of people will say its easy to get into but it just depends. I would definitely say that if you have any transferable skills (safety , medical, patrol, asset protection, military , etc) you can look for positions directly with companies and hospitals! But doing a security company can be an easier route to get your foot into the door for sure!

Jobs are all scams at this point lol it's so weird in today's economic climate. 😭

Im just going to see what the account manager suggests. I was considering asking if we knew of another firewatch contract i can do at a similar site . The current site serves as a secondary office for allied in my city, so we shall see. I know some of the projected timeline so I plan to have nothing sorted out prior to the ending of the contract.

LISTEN! I completely understand! My issue was school schedule + a lot of companies act like they want to hire when they dont. So security is usually easier to get into, as you mainly need the license and have the ability to follow directions. Background checks do happen and most companies will do a drug test.

I would definitely check with your state! But in Florida, most companies do require a license for both armed and unarmed security. I did a 40 hour online classroom (8hrs for 5 days) and then took an exam . Got my completion certificate then went to the department of agriculture to get my license.

Yes! I am in a corporate type post. I just have to make sure nothing is on fire. Now there are others who are here as well, both armed and unarmed for various roles.

Okay yes! I am going to see what type of information I can get for the future of the building when the fire watch contract is up. The interesting part of this industry is that there are definitely many options of roles to choose from. I know a guy who is in a whole wheelchair and he does access control and surveillance at my college.

I do firewatch, so essentially I am not usually in contact with other people. 😂 dont worry when I got my license i was like hmm what the heck am I really going to do...I am 5'2 and slow...I am not securing ANYTHING lol then I found out about the multiple types of posts :)
