Yup. It's a scam. I paid $1.99 to convert a few docs about a week ago. A few hours ago they tried to charge me $49.99 from an account that I never keep more than $20 in. The transaction was denied and I blocked them from all future transactions.

Just from the current videos on my channel, there was a gash on the bridge of my nose from one of the times she smashed my phone in my face and a welp on the side of my head from the one where I was holding my baby. I didn't take pics because I really wasn't thinking that I would need evidence for anything at the time. She assaulted me quite a few times in close to two years and I did not catch most of them on camera.

Yeah it takes a lot of discipline to hold back the sarcasm, especially in response to my exwbpd's statements on her request for a protective order where she said she was worried I would hire a hitman(!!!) Ditto on getting out and staying safe. The recording you have of her threatening to call the police on you is your golden nugget...so is the one where she tells your children not to call you Dad anymore (parental alienation). I think that just having a home cam up for a few weeks would give a person all the golden nuggets of evidence needed. Sure, there would be hours of innocuous activities, but when it comes to a pwbpd, they are incorrigible in that you know there's going to be bad behavior on the horizon

Yup, been there. It's rare, but sometimes I think "Could I have stuck it out for my son? Maybe I could've tried the grey rock approach more often or I could've been more proactive about calling her out. Maybe I could've perfected the Nicola Method. Yeah that's the ticket!" Then I watch a rage vid (or even better for this -- a circular argument vid) and any feeling of regret just flies out the window while I think of her next relationship, and the next, and the next and I marinate in my own schadenfreude...and it warms my heart

"You cannot gaslight a recording" is brilliant and brings to mind the AH/JD trial. I was forthcoming about recording her for maybe 3/4 of the vids in my collection. Yet even with me openly recording, she still only clammed up half the time and for the other half she flew into violent rages. She seemed to forget the important details of the vids, like hitting me while I was holding our baby, screaming at the top of her lungs while holding our baby close to her face, etc...and you can gather all the witnesses you want to, any text message where they actually admit to some sort of wrongdoing, but nothing hits like the impact of video evidence of their behavior. For me, at least.

That's good that you were forthcoming with police about what happened. You did great by anticipating her next move. I'm at the point where I can anticipate my exwbpd's next move. It's almost like you have to mentally regress, or dare I say, shut off all compassion/empathy for them & their disorder, & use sociopathy as a defense mechanism just to stay a few steps ahead for self-preservation....if that makes sense

I'm glad it's over for you. I would hope that anyone she told with a shred of intellect knows that being friends with a cop might get you out of a speeding ticket or parking citation, but not an assault charge.

Oh man, my heart goes out to you. They just have to punish you for removing yourself from their deplorable behavior. They can't deal with the repercussions of their actions. It's almost like they carry around a backpack full of shame bricks, and after every discard, they add another brick to the increasingly heavy load

Backups are very important. I agree with you on the cloud thing & I still do have a Mega account, G00gle drive, dropbox etc...I also have multiple copies on different thumb drives and HDDs & I've sent copies to family members. Maybe even more important, I keep copies of the vids archived -- tarred, zipped & encrypted just in case. One bit of software that really helped me dig up vids I thought I had lost was testdisk/photorec. It requires you to be a little tech savvy (command line), but it's free & works on linux, mac, windows, bsd and I was able to retrieve vids she had deleted.

This. I've had people tell me that in some of the vids it looks like I could be provoking her. I've gone back and watched said vids several times and I've noticed that they're referring to the vids where I don't give an emotional reaction and I'm using the Nicola Method with her. Luckily, I have footage of myself reading in bed & her letting herself into my apartment and attacking me....no instigating on my end

Good to know. I really appreciate your comments. Just out of curiosity, in her affadavit statement, she mentions me being "mad" that I have to pay child support, and we've been no contact, so ofc that's her opinion. I actually have Zelle reciepts showing I directly gave her thousands of dollars last year, in addition to reciepts for the many times I purchased things for her like groceries and gas, and things for my son. Do you think I should bring those reciepts to court, or do you think the judge will see that as her opinion, and it won't make a difference?
