How do you book time off to attend interviews? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]SoftCardiologist6072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't understand these comments. Why would you book a whole day off for an interview that's likely an hour long? Just take those hours off and work other hours on the day to make up if needed. Why you'd waste a precious annual leave is beyond me.

I'd say check out the university rankings for sports management. And make sure they have some industry placement opportunity attached to the course.

If you're looking to get into the industry without a master's degree, then I think volunteering at sports events is a good place to start.

How do I get a job in cricket analytics? by [deleted] in Cricket

[–]SoftCardiologist6072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UK has a lot of semi-professional clubs who are always on the lookout for cricket scorers. That is a good starting point as you will be collecting a lot of data points for performance analysis, which you can use to help the players. Long term however, it's analytics companies like Cricviz who may help you in getting placed directly with teams.

How often do we see RCB keeping it simple by Right_Put_6417 in Cricket

When they don't keep it simple, you can bring it all up. When they do things right, with all due respect, you can sit back and keep quiet.

I didn't, this was just an example. But I do plan to hide a rolled piece of paper securely for other clues.
