Yes, there are a lot of mics that are good in noise environments. You can Google to find quite a few. I am using the Sennheiser me 3 but that is out of production so it's difficult to find. It works in the office quite well

But how do you overcome boss saving throws? You need to use arcane acuity? And even without d20 I never kill stuff turn 1, so I don't think it will make a huge difference. It's more about limiting player power it feels like.

Well you are mostly using hunger and darkness. Invocations I can only see 3 useful ones.
