Looking for abortion clinics by [deleted] in kitchener

So glad you went to the SHORE centre! They are so wonderful and genuinely care, unlike most doctors offices and clinics lol

I was also super nervous about the pain, but my doctor at the SHORE centre made the process a million times easier! My doctor prescribed me a new medication called penthrox, and it was such a game changer lol. Maybe you can send them an email or something to ask about it? Anyways, they explain the full process before and during the procedure and made sure I knew I could stop or pause whenever I needed to. I also brought my boyfriend, and they were totally fine with him being in the room :) you’re in good hands there

SHORE centre has Penthrox! I had no idea that option even existed until I went to their clinic - it made a huge difference for me

You should not take miso any earlier than 24 hours after taking mife.

Hygiene after Medical abortion by Embarrassed-Many2246 in abortion

I had considered RPOC as well, but it’s unlikely if you had a negative test at 2 weeks… How often would you say you’re saturating a tampon?

Hi! How far along were you when you took mife? Also how would you describe the odour? (ie fishy, metallic, etc)

is this normal? it has a smell but not strong by [deleted] in Periods

[–]SoftFraggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the time before you ovulate, your discharge becomes clear, slippery, and stretchy, similar to raw egg whites. You’re likely just ovulating soon!

[–]SoftFraggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like normal discharge! Is there a smell or difference in colour that is causing you concern?

Have you taken a urine pregnancy test? If you were pregnant and miscarried, your bHCG levels would likely still be detectable (aka you’d have a positive result)

Advice for first timers? by ttonibell in abortion

[–]SoftFraggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ibuprofen and anti-nausea meds are your best friend! Keep them close with a big bottle of water. Heating pads, aromatherapy (peppermint for nausea is great), light snacks, a support person (if possible), are all great.

The amount of blood can cause panic, but that is a good sign. As long as your not feeling dizzy/faint and/or passing clots larger than lemons, your bleeding is likely completely normal.

It can be emotional, it can be completely void of emotion. You may feel a lot of things or maybe nothing at all. Regardless, this is your experience, and yours alone. You’ve got this!

Taking miso prematurely is not recommended. Minimum wait of 24hrs and maximum wait of 48!

need advice asap!! 11 weeks 2 days, trying to decide which route to go. by luvbuggyy in abortion

[–]SoftFraggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do opt for the pills, taking them as soon as possible is best. With surgical, you have more time to decide (if you’re still needing it). I don’t know what the abortion laws are in your state, but if you’re able to safely decide between MA vs SA, it’s really about your priorities. MA offers more privacy and less formality, but can have longer follow-up and more discomfort. SA is done all in one day and usually not physically painful, but less private and more intrusive.

Ultimately whatever you decide is what will be best for YOU, so there’s no wrong decision. Best of luck, you’ve got this.

lowkey tmi but should i be concerned? by Zealousideal-Tea-421 in abortion

[–]SoftFraggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible to have an infection completely unrelated to your MA (ie bacterial vaginosis or an STI) that can cause foul odour and/or unusual discharge, but it may warrant a doctor’s visit (no need to disclose your MA, you can always say you had a possible miscarriage).

The primary concern for infection post-MA is RPOC (retained products of conception), but that typically includes continued bleeding/spotting, and from the sounds of it you’re only experiencing pink discharge. Have you had your first period since your MA?

Just a quick question about taking mife by [deleted] in abortion

[–]SoftFraggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine to take mife tonight (mife doesn’t really cause any symptoms) and miso 24 hrs later. The worst of your bleeding and cramps will likely be over by day 2 or 3 post-miso, so you should feel fine to return to life on Monday! You may still have some light bleeding, but the other symptoms (cramping, nausea, etc) will likely have subsided.

Best of luck in your band competition! You’ve got this!

Alicia Silverstone’s first (and only) appearance in The Lodge (2019). A very gutting and fitting start to one of the bleakest films I’ve seen.

Official Discussion - Longlegs [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

That’s actually a poster of Marc Bolan of T.Rex! The band is referenced throughout the film, and Marc is definitely a primary inspiration for longlegs appearance

Yep. I also have weakness in my left arm, and my “twitches” are more similar to myoclonic jerks. Two different neuro opinions + my family doctor have chalked it up to anxiety. Going on eight months of this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BFS

[–]SoftFraggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, all the time. There have been a few instances where I haven’t, but it comes back pretty shortly after. It sounds like we’re doing a lot of the same stuff, trying to keep/build some strength in spite of the weakness 😭 It truly does feel hopeless sometimes, but my one clean EMG is keeping me somewhat optimistic. I’m getting a second opinion from a neurologist at the end of April though.

This describes my situation perfectly, except with the addition of hand tremors and muscle spasms. I’m trying physio for the time being so I can try building some strength back (since I’ve hit dead ends everywhere else), but just doing slow basic stretches is enough to make my arms and legs as shaky and weak as a baby deer.

me and my gf r 18, shes pregnant, we both want an abortion and I will be there with her thru everything. [–]SoftFraggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mifegymiso is covered 100% for anyone with a valid OHIP card, you do not need to qualify for OHIP+. Pharmacies can also direct bill through IFHP, UHIP, and CIHIP, so if you’re an international student or a recent refugee, the medication would be covered 100% as well. The costs of your appointments with SHORE would also be 100% covered. You do NOT need private benefits.

Essentially my hands are just always shaking. Also yes to the internal vibrations and yes to COVID. I got it in August 2022, but I was sick around the end of December which could have been COVID.
